“The Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – Mantras in English” By A.V.Manohar

COVER PAGE - Brhadaranyaka Upanishad.jpg

A book entitled “The Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – Mantras in English” was released recently at Sage Yogeeswara Yajnavalkhya Temple, Zamin Pallavaram, Chennai after dedication of the same to the Sadguru Sage Yajnvalkhya, who brought forth the Shukla Yaju Veda (White Yajur Veda) from Sun God for the benefit of mankind. Readers are well aware that Isavasya Upanishad and Brhadaranyaka Upanishad form part of the Shukla Yajur Veda.

It was a long-felt need to do the transliteration of the mantras of this voluminous Upanishad from Sanskrit to English for the benefit of those who are not familiar with Sanskrit language and to present the English version of the mantras in one single book. A.V.Manohar, a Shukla Yajur Vedin and a senior finance professional has carried out this effort with the guidance of learned scholars and prepared this 144 book that also includes Surya Kavacha Stotram, Saraswathi Stotram and Siva Raksha Stotram compiled by Sage Yajnavalkhya.

Intonation marks to indicate the Swaras have been given for the mantras and this will surely help in learning and chanting the mantras of this Upanishad.

This book is provided free of cost and the interested spiritual seekers can collect it from A.V. Krishna Murthy / A.V.Chandrasekar , 43, III Trust Cross Street, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai – 600 028 : Tel: 0091 – 44 - 2464 1584 / 2495 7403 /94450 19137, email: [email protected].
