Biting the hand that feeds: India's small towns favor opposition

A good article.

I wonder why the Western media always call BJP a Hindu nationalistic party. Is it wrong? Is Congess not nationalistic?


Or is it that U.S finds it difficult to deal with people who are patriotic? Politicians who bother about their country rather than selling the country to the multi-nationals. Remember the assassination of Allende in Chile?

I think that advantageous business interests and political diplomacy tend to overshadow the truth, whether of that of the ruling party or that of the opposition. But that is the way it would be, and to turn away, or to mock, and abstain from such power-factions would not be a prudent political decision.
