Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, was a Catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, India in 1950.

For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries. Following her death she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. (Source: Wikipedia)

Here follow a dozen quotes that fill the soul.

It is impossible to walk rapidly and be unhappy.

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.

Peace begins with a smile.

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.

Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

God doesn’t require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.

Good works are links that form a chain of love.

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Spread the word the Mission Of Mother

Mother Theresa died on September 5th 1997.
Just a few days before that on 31st August 1997 Princess Diana had died.

The newspapers were carrying non stop news about Diana and Mother Theresa's death hardly got any coverage.

Its always the more popular person who gets all the attention and can even over shadow a "saint".
