Is Bigg Boss Tamil becoming Kamal Haasan’s stage to air his political views?

Kamal Haasan who hosts the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil condemned the tragic death of 17-year-old Anita on the show. Is Bigg Boss turning into a space for him to comment not just on housemates' behaviour but also on the state and the society?

For the past 24 hours, the death of a young girl has ruled the air space of all channels. 17-year-old Anita chose to end her life, days after the Supreme Court directed the medical admission to be done based on the National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET). She was leading the fight against the examination in the apex court. The young girl’s tragic story also formed Kamal Haasan’s opening speech on the weekend episode of Bigg Boss Tamil.

After condemning the unfortunate incident, the veteran actor said that while the tears of the state show that we have a heart, the action of the audience in preventing such losses should reflect that we have a brain. Answering unasked queries, the actor further continued, “If someone asks me what the solution is — I am someone who hasn’t finished school education. While I have the will do what is necessary, do I have the skill? Let the people who have the skill let us know. I will listen, we will listen. It is because someone forgot to listen that our heads are bowed down today, in shame. Deepest condolences to Anitha’s family”.

The point is not the validity of his speech, that’s a conversation beyond the realm but the mere presence of it on the stage of an entertainment reality show. Has a reality show turned into a political stage for Kamal Haasan? Is Bigg Boss Tamil turning into a space for him to comment not just on housemates’ behaviour but also on the state and the society?

Bigg Boss Tamil: Kaajal evicted; netizens continue to troll Julie [memes]

Kaajal has ended her short journey in Bigg Boss Tamil. Her elimination was expected as she had failed to make any impact on the viewers during her stay in the house. Snehan and Aarav were also facing the elimination. In the end, she got lesser votes than the other two.

After evicting, Kaajal shared about her experience about Bigg Boss Tamil and was thankful for being part of the show. She had expected not to get a longer stay considering her straight-forward behaviour.

She also revealed that the inmates were wearing masks and not revealing their true faces. According to her, the contestants her controlling their emotions and not being themselves in order to be safe in the house.

However, her statement have been welcomed by the audience, who claim that they was deserving to be in the house for a few more weeks. Netizens say that she was better than Aarav and Snehan as they feel that the two inmates were not honest.

Meanwhile, Julie and Harathi's stay have been extended by one week. They re-entered Kamal Haasan's show for just one week.

Since you asked it, I will try to answer.

First I am not the only one who solely maintain a thread in our dear Forum..

There are number of threads maintained by members solely and I hope you will agree with me on this.

This Forum has lot of sections dealing right from GD, News, Sociology, Chit Chat etc

While most are very seriously debating in GD, let some who are interested may very well visit this thread which is a popular reality show hosted by Kamal Haasan and that was the original idea.

Besides I believe variety is spice of life.. it also provides variety..

This perhaps also gives an opportunity for those regular viewers when they missed some episodes to follow...

I found so far 1687 members have viewed this thread and this I am monitoring closely

And this viewership only encourages me

பிக்பாஸ் வீட்டில் மிக மிக நெகிழ்ச்சியானதொரு சம்பவம் நடந்தது. மனதை உருக்க வைக்கும் காட்சி. பார்த்த எவரும் கண்கலங்காமல் இருந்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். சிநேகன் தந்தையாரின் வருகை. அந்த கிராமத்து முதியவர் தள்ளாடி தள்ளாடி வரும் காட்சியைப் பார்க்கவே அத்தனை நெகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தது.

நேற்றைய தினத்தில் பிக்பாஸ் வீட்டில் எல்லோரும் அழுவதைப் பார்த்து இதுவும் ஒரு task-ன் பகுதியோ என்று நினைத்து விட்டேன். அதற்காக இப்போது வருந்துகிறேன்; மன்னிப்பு கேட்கிறேன். இது போல் பல விஷயங்கள் முதலில் வேறு மாதிரியாக காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு பிறகு போட்டி என்கிற விஷயம் என்று அறிய நேர்ந்ததால் இதுவும் அப்படியோ என்று தோன்றி விட்டது. விளையாட்டு வினையான தருணம்.

சிநேகனின் அழுகைக்கான காரணம் என்று சமூகவலைத்தளங்களில் வேறு ஒரு செய்தி வந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. அதைப் பற்றி சொல்ல விரும்பவில்லை. ஆனால் வதந்திகளையும் மோசமான யூகங்களையும் பரப்புவதில் நாம் எத்தனை குரூரமாக இருக்கிறோம் என்பதற்கான உதாரணம் அது. பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமகனாக நாம் வெட்கி தலைகுனிய வேண்டிய விஷயங்கள் அவை.

Kamal Haasan's jabs at politicians and his nuanced political comments in the Bigg Boss Tamil, being hosted by the actor, have evoked a mixed response in Tamil Nadu. 76-ம் நாளின் தொடர்ச்சியான நிகழ்வுகள் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டன. தனது தந்தை மற்றும் கமல் தந்த நெகிழ்ச்சியான வாக்குறுதி குறித்து சுஜா இன்னமும் நெகிழ்வு நிலையில் இருக்கிறார். ‘சுஜா சிஸ்டர், ப்ளீஸ். அழாதீங்க.. கமல் சார் என்ன சொன்னார்னு கவனிச்சீங்களா.. நான் உங்களை சம்பிரதாயத்திற்கு சகோதரி என்று அழைக்கவில்லை’ என்று ஆறுதல் சொன்னார் ஆரவ். நீண்ட காலம் கழித்து அரசியல் கூட்டணி உடன்பாடு ஏற்பட்ட தலைவர்கள் போல சக்தியும் சிநேகனும் நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கட்டியணைத்துக் கொண்டார்கள். சக்திக்குள் இருந்த டிரிக்கர், மக்கர் ஆகி நின்று விட்டது நல்லதே.

எவராவது ஒருவர் நெகிழ்ச்சியடைந்து பேசினால் அது குறித்து ரத்தம் வர கிளறுவது ஆர்த்திக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்ட task போலிருக்கிறது. திறமையாக செய்கிறார். சுஜா கதறியழுததைக் குறித்து எதையோ சொல்லி விவாதத்தை ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார் போலிருக்கிறது.

“நான் அழறது ஒப்பாரி இல்லைங்க. உணர்வு. என்னோட வலி இது. நான் பள்ளியில் சேரும் போது அப்பா இனிஷியல் இல்லாமல் எங்க அம்மா அசிங்கப்பட்ட விஷயம் எல்லாம் எனக்குத்தான் தெரியும். “இல்லை சுஜா.. நீங்க Bold-ஆ இருக்கணும். அவர் ஏன் தேடி வரணும்னு நெனக்கறீங்க?” என்று கேள்விகளைத் தொடர்ந்தார் ஆர்த்தி. “அவருக்கு நான் யாருன்னு காட்டணும்… எவ்ள வளர்ந்திருக்கணும்னு காட்டணும். என் கூட வெச்சுக்கறதுக்காக இல்ல.. ஒருவேளை சோறு போட முடியணும்னு காட்டணும்” என்று சற்று ஆவேசமானார் சுஜா. தொடர்ந்து ஆர்த்தி இதை நோண்டவே.. “ஏங்க.. உங்க அப்பா என்ன செய்வாரோ –ன்னு நீங்க நெறய யோசிக்கறீங்க இல்ல.. அதைப் போல என் அப்பாவை நான் பார்க்கணும்னு ஆசை இருக்காதா?” என்று பொங்கினார் சுஜா.
