Dear All,

I hail from Ayikudy at Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. In our village, Skanda Sashti is celebrated every year with lots of bakthi and devotion. The important of Ayikudy Sashti is that the Chapparam (the one in which the Deity is kept and decorated with flowers) is carried by people on their shoulders. For the first 5 days, the Chapparam comes around the village both in the morning and on 6th and 7th day only in the evening. You may log into my facebook profile (Sastha Venkatachalam) to see 2011 Sashti photos or you may search for the same in Google to see the previous years Sashti photos.

I kindly invite all of you to come and see Ayikudy Skanda Sashti which is coming in Nov'12 this year.

Wish you all advanced Pongal Greetings.

Regards,

Sastha Venkatachalam
