Hi , I have recently started doing oona masigam, sodakumbam and masigam. the mantras are totally new and I fear that I may misspell it. Are lyrics available for sama veda . Although our vadhiyar is coming , I feel that I can go through the lyrics once before vadhiyar comes. I am new to all these.

Contact Shankara Mutt and Sri Ramakrishna Mission. Because Veda Book "Manthra Pushpam" in Sanskrit is published by them. You can also check at Giri Trading, West Mambalam station Road there is a publisher. At Tiruvallikeni I heard an old Spiritual Book publishers.
Today what I find is no one is keen on being books and do Swadhyaya. If such a collective effort at your place is started we get more information.

i have one book called ' SAMA VEDA SRADHHA PRAYOGAHA' in sanskrit/tamil...by paranur PV venkatrama
srowthigal published by sri kanchi kamakoti sri mahaswami trust....i got it from giri books mylapore chennai..

i use for my tarpanams.....masigam/oonamasigam/sodakumbam and parvana sraddham...

please try from giri publishers...

Yes. Even I am surprised as apart from the Tharppanam other rituals only comes hopefully twice in anyone's life for mother and father. It is not an every year event. I don't know how he writes it casually. Vadhyaar is very important for the first year rituals as the date, thithi and other rules apply to it. By days it may but by thithi on that day it should not then the more thithi which day etc. He may be an expert but definitely need a Vaadhyar.
As a guidance it is good. But not as a Qualification.
Even it us necessary all our marriage mantras should be translated and it should be read to know what all the person committed during marriage. Then it should be signed as a binding agreement cannot be violated.

What is said above may be right.
But in these times, when we do not have scholarly knowledge of Sanskrit and the mantras being in Sanskrit, what we can do is to practise reciting the mantras during leisure time / other days, so that we can repeat the mantras properly when required on shraddha day. Unforntunately, there is no book on shraddha mantras written on sankrit - Devanagari script, which helps in correct pronunciation. I heard those mantras are written in Granth script. I got a book titled 'Pitru Pooja' in Bhavani Book Centre at West Mmbalam, Station Road, written by Sri Anna and published by The Giri Trading Agency Limited. It is in Tamil with svara bedam, but based on Yajur veda Apasthamba sutram.
For a book based on Sama Veda, you may try Giri Trading or Bhavani Book Centre.

Many have given suggestions. It is the questionairs responsibility to come up with his actual position. Whether he get his needed and how and from whom? What books he bought from where? Otherwise who helped him. Because an answer and action will help others.
