My Daughter is 5 months old and we are planning to do annaprasanam to her.
here are few doubts regarding it. Would appreciate if someone could clarify...
1. She was born on June 1st. They say, for girls it is to be done in odd months. So, should it be performed DURING or COMPLETION of odd month? (I believe tamil month should be taken into consideration and not English)
2. Is it cumpulsory to invite Vaadhyaards and do at home or can it also be done in a temple?
3. What are the rules for selecting an auspicious date for the occasion?
4. How should the ritual be performed?

sir, In the sticky thread in rituals,ceremonies and pooja ama soma vara arasa mara pradhakshinam you can find from seed dhaanam punyahavachanam to abhthapoorthy for children. you can find annaprasnam details. thara palam and chandra palam to the child"s birth star is very

important. 10th place from lagnam on that auspicious date must be empty without any planets. lagnam rishapam, mithunam, katakam, kanni, thulam, dhanus, meenam are the best. thithi-- dvithiyai; thruthiyai; panchami; sapthami; dasami; thrayodasi are the best. stars_; aswathy. rohini.

mirugasiro; punarpusam. poosam; uthram, hastham, chithrai; swathy; anusham; uthraadam; thiruvonam; avittam; sathayam; uthrattaadhi; revathy are the best stars.

chandhraashtamam, rahu kalam, yama kandam kari nal should be avoided.

You may also do it in guruvayoor temple.
