Lokpal or Superlokpal or even if they bring the god who burned bhasmasur or the one that came in such terrifying form and took out the entrails of hiranyakasipu, corruption will continue in India as long as religions have the sway over people as of now.

Why are the political parties silent on Anna Hazare fast for getting the Lokpal bill passed by Parliament..Though the Lokpal bill has been tabled in Parliament, not sure if it will get passed with Samajwadi party opposing the bill...

Anna's fast enters eight day, condition deteriorates

Anna, is not the smartest person, and he just blackmails governments for personal glory. Lokpal bill is not going to achieve anything, and people like mody will not give support to an authority, that can control their power.
You kust have to see the Gujarat model, that lokpal is a toothless tiger.

Extending this logic, can we say that there are no corrupt atheists? Would it be fair?
auh, why bring atheists into this, leave us alone.

If Anna wants to fast let him, why interfere? Let him fast as long as he likes.

Aasthik and Nasthik can breathe in peace. Anna has scaled down his demands to undercut Kejriwal Lok sabha has cleared lokpal by voice vote after clearance from rajyasabha.anna will break fast Rahul Further wants to pass other laws relating to eradication of corruption such as whistle blowersbill, citizen charter etc and wants loksabha session winter session extended. Nara ji no one will let you breathe freely in this country and practice your brand of atheism

The point was to indicate that atheism is as much susceptible or unsusceptible, as the case may be, as theism, in the matter of corruption. And to be taken in the context of what Shri Sangom had said. :)

...Nara ji no one will let you breathe freely in this country and practice your brand of atheism
Sir, what is this particular brand of atheism that Nara ji is practicing? Are there many brands? Please enlighten...

And I hope that you didn't mean me in the "no one" category... :)

With the historic Lokpal Bill passed by both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, the anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare has ended his fast!

It is a victory to Anna's policies and his peaceful protests!

Let us not belittle his efforts in the passing of this magnifient legislation to curb corruption in the higher echelons of power!

Hunger strikes (Satyagraha) continues to a powerful weapon in the 21st century too!

We cannot forget Mahatma Gandhi who was the champion of Satyagraha!

Vgane, This passing of lokpal bill is not going to bring any positive change. The very fact that the selection of lokpal committee will not be free of communal discrimination speaks volumes about where this country is headed!!!

Dear Gane,

The major parties, Cong & BJP - in Parliament - have fooled Anna and passed this hotch-potch bill in order to score brownie points in front of their electorates. Reality in a country like India will be that there will be no government work moving for, say, the first six months of setting up of the LokPal and his outfit/s and, thereafter, the bribe rates will register an increase because the cut of the LokPal & his office have also to be taken care of by the concerned (corrupt) official!

After all, we are a nation with a hoary culture of bribing even the gods! ;)

Since all NGOs are kept out of the purview of this Act, the way also has been shown; anybody can set up an NGO and contributions made to such NGO is out of Lok Pal's purview. And the way has already been trodden by almost all our gurus/godmen/godwomen/-anandas and what have you.

naraji ,atheism originated from greeks meaning 'without god' . In a broad sense the rejection of belief underscore belief in the existence of deiites. in narrower sense, there is the position there are no deities. rationalist believe there are no Gods citing lack of empirical evidence. Atheism is accepted in religeous sytems including hinduism The degree of belief in atheism is a matter of personal preference. my knowledge of atheism ends here . refer wikipedia for more. .regards

Dear Shri Sangom,

Hope your conjecture turns out to be false!

But see this toon by Manjul exactly reflecting your apprehension!
