Anna Hazare arrested. Crowds swell in support. What will happen?

All said and done, they have created awareness amongst the people and some
sort of anger and protest in the minds of the people. Almost all are the sufferers
at the hands of the corrupt, yet they never came out in the open to protest.
Looking from this angle, Anna's contribution is significant.

Doubtless it would have added more credibility and moral strength if they
themselves lead a simple life and avoided air travel itself.

I don't agree with the contention of this mail. Third para of this mail is absolutely wrong in these days. No citizen will come forward to help a person who met an accident for first aid purpose during these days even though a Supreme Court order clearly says that the person who helped the person met with accident should not be called for interrogation by police after words. Do we agree whether this is prevailing today? When we are not capable of protecting ourselves it is our duty to appreciate Anna Hazare and his courage in attacking the present government. There are some bad elements functioning as factionists to disturb Anna Hazare team to enjoy their corrupt attitude further. What law came forward now to punish Chidambaram who is directly involved in 2G scam. Because of self attitude of some political leader Mr. Raja is being punished. Why not Chidambaram. If we go on following Bureacracy there is no limit for Political atrocity. What happened in Karnataka. Why Jayalalitha appeared before Court now? What image our CMs are having in global level. It is shame on our part. We have a right to elect representative but we do not have right to remove them. Why? Laws are only guidelines but not being followed at critical juncture.

Anna Hazare is also a citizen of India and already he is abiding by laws like us. He is not at all doing public nuisance and not considered as Showman. We should respect him and his approach towards Government. It is our duty to support to eleminate corruption.

I totally agree that Kamaraj and Kakkan period was the Golden Days of Indian Democracy.

....But, these days, people have changed... all most ALL, including politicians, police, judges and others, are involved in either Bribe Giving and/or Bribe Taking... and our politics reflect that...

Anna Hazare & Party do not understand that it is the Problem of the Society at large... not just the politicians. We need to think in terms of Cultural Change, not just making one more Law: there are very many laws against Corruption already on the books - even the PM can be sued using the current law - a stronger Lokpal is not going to solve anything.

Anna Hazare is a very naive person... he has his rights to Hunger Strike sitting in his house. He can't violate the Section 144 of CrPC of India.

That's why he is in Tihar... he can walk out anytime by signing a Personal Affidavit that he will obey the laws of the land.

Wait & watch.

ps. If Anna wants a real strict Lokpal law, then he must obey such strict laws regarding peaceful assembly and against Public Nuisance... he is acting against his own teachings here... this shows he is NOT a serious person, but just a Showman! Lol

Dr. Manmohan Singh, no doubt, is a appreciable Bureaucrate but not a good politician. He failed miserably as a Prime Minister. He is acting as a puppet in the hands of Sonia.

New Delhi, Sunday, November 27, 2011: Delhi Police on Sunday registered a case against Team Anna member Kiran Bedi for allegedly misappropriating funds meant for her NGOs following a local court order.

DCP (Crime) Ashok Chand said a case under Section 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 120 b (criminal conspiracy) of IPC has been slapped against Bedi.

The action comes a day after a local court passed an order to this effect.

The court had ordered registration of an FIR against her after taking note of a complaint of a Delhi-based lawyer Devinder Singh Chauhan who alleged she “looted” various paramilitary forces and police organisations in the name of imparting free computer training under the banner of her NGOs.

Bedi, reacting to the court order on Saturday, had said it did not take her by surprise.

“I am informed an FIR is to be registered against me. For me now nothing is a surprise! It only strengthens my resolve to do more,” she said.
