Ananthankavu Nagalakshmi Temple -Kerala
Ananthankavu Nagalakshmi Temple is an ancient sacred grove. The environmentally sensitive temple with Snakes. This is the only sacred groves(surppakavu) with 1000years old idols of Naga Lakshmi with Nagaraja Ananthan. The only Nagalakshmi Temple in Kerala.
Ayilyam Pooja
Every month ayilyam (monthly once). This temple will open for traditional Naga Pooja. Pooja conducted by Kerala Brahmins. The main pooja and noorum palum will start at 10am. This pooja offering for the blessing of Naga Raja Anathan and Naga Lekshmi Devi. Devotees believing Naga Leksmi Devi will bless for solving financial problems and give wealth.
8 Uruli Noorum Palum
This is the biggest pooja and very important Pooja for the blessing of Ashta Nagas(8 Naga Rajas) and Naga Laksmi
Rs 15,000/- for conducting this Pooja .
Thattil Noorum Paalum
This Pooja conducting yearly once(Kanny Ayilyam). This is highly expensive offering. This pooja is conducting 10 feet above from the ground level ,on a wooden stage with fire light, starting 7pm. This offering is for the blessings of Akasa Sarppam. Devotees can attend the Pooja on wooden stage . Total expense of this pooja is RS 1 Lakh.
The eight most important serpent gods called Ashta Nagas are Anantha, Vasuki, Thakshaka, Karkkotaka, Shankha, Gulika, Padma and Mahapadma.
Annadaanam
About thousands of devotees gathering here for monthly traditional Naga Pooja for them one time meals from the temple sponsored by any devotee.
Devotes can donate for giving food or Anna Danam after Pooja.
Ashta Naga Kalam
This is drown on the floor with rice powder, turmeric, vaka podi etc..
Drawing Naga Raja Anathan and 7 Naga Rajas together this is known as Ashta Naga Kalam. Pooja will conduct in this kalam at night.
Total expense of this Pooja is Rs 1 Laksh.
