PL clarify my doubt regarding tarpanam.
Paternal side is clear( pitru pitamahan and prapitamahan ; pitamahi pituh pitamahi and pituh prapitamahi)

Maternal side -matamahan matupitamahan and matuprapitamahan are all dead ! mother is alive .so is her mother(my maternal grandmother ) ie my matamahi.
1.How should I say for next 3 levels?
2. My mama (mother's brother) is still alive and doing tarpanam. So Some people are telling I need not do for "mata" side .others are telling I should do for both. Which is correct?

Pl clarify

Yes, u should do for both, even if your maama is alive.

I am still doing for my mother's side, eventhough my 2 maamaas are still alive.

Names of grand mother, great grand mother, Fathers great grand mother if mother is alive

sankramam(Thai first), Suryoparaga punya kale for tharpanam done during solar eclipse, Somoparaga punyakale for tharpanam done during Lunar eclipse and In case of Paraheni tharpanam done after Sraddham, “Purvedya maya krutha mathru pithru prathyabdhika sradhangam thila tharpanam karishye. Please note in case of paraheni tharpanam, the offering(tharpanam) is made to only paternal side pithrus.
