Background
Vedas, in my view and study are a more in-depth literature that unites science, history and our day-to-day life. In the way modern science has developed, people often think and feel that there is a conflict between pursuit of knowledge that our intellect aspires for and peace that our consciousness aspires for.
That is because, over a period, organized ‘religion’ has laid claim to responding to our consciousness and had founded several principles of life that we adhere to. Scientific pursuit of knowledge grew as a ‘rebellion’ against organized religion in many domains, with its open thoughts.
Vedas, interestingly, present a different picture. They present pursuit of knowledge as an offshoot of that consciousness. They say it is due to the ‘will’ of that consciousness that evolution happens. In vedic sense, organized religion is nothing but organized pursuit of knowledge and hence nothing but science.
Devas and Asuras of Universe
In the Universe of our Vedas and Puranas, Devas are baryons and bosons, Asuras are mesons and anti-baryons.
At the start of Universe according to science, matter and anti-matter should have been in equal numbers, but matter seems to have subdued anti-matter and established its supremacy. According to Vedas and Puranas, at the start of the Universe, Devas and Asuras were equal in numbers. They fought a war amongst them and Devas won the war by acquiring the immortal nectar.

Summarizing my understanding here, which I would be elaborating in this series is:
The four thermodynamic laws of Universe and Life
Thermal energy or Heat is referred to as Pusa. Pusa in Vedas is Agrhni (filled with heat). Pusa or Heat is the conductor of the dead back to the netherworlds. Vedas say all matter and beings in world are filled with same Pusha or same heat. Zeroth law of theromodynamics talks about this equivalence of heat across all matter and beings. In savitr mantra it is said that "yo viśvābhi vipaśyati bhuvanā saṃ ca paśyati sa naḥ pūṣāvitā bhuvat". It means all matter and being are filled with same Pusa (or heat).
Mass-Energy is equivalence is referred to as Surya. Suryam are Nucleons that form due to conversion of energy to mass. Surya radiates energy to be converted into mass at distant planets. First Law of Thermodynamics talks about this conservation of energy.
Entropy is referred to as Savitr. Entropy is quantity of dis-order or amount of information/intelligence in the way one sees it. Second Law of Thermodynamics says that Entropy is always increasing in a Closed Loop system. It increases with heat. Entropy is a measure of disorder and information/intelligence at the same time. Entropy is the 'seed' on which the Universal evolution is built-in today.
Vedas say Savitr (Entropy) is given out when Pusan (Heat) manifests in matter. Savitr controls the Universal movement as a reiner controls the horses. They go on to say Savitr is the 'Consciousness or Intelligence' of the matter. According to my understanding of Nasadiya Suktam (which I will write about separately) , the Universal evolution happened because Atman decided to evolve to realize itself. This evolution means continuously increasing information/intelligence in the Universe, which is entropy.
How do we link Consciousness or Intellect to what is happening in Universe..? It is through Khaga.
All matter and beings in the world possess motion or movement. Even when a matter is perfectly aligned and all atoms stand still, there is motion in the Quantum domain. We will never be able to reach a state of zero motion or zero entropy (no disorder state or no information state) or zero temperature. Third law of thermodynamics states that it would require infinite steps to reach a state of zero entropy or zero temperature for matter.
The reason why it requires infinite steps to reach zero entropy state is that, the Universe started with some dis-order or some information. This information that it started with, is referred to as the 'Consciousness' in Vedas. It is called "Bhavana' "Dhimahi' etc..
Nasadiya Sukta says that Universe started to evolve due to the 'desire of the Atman to realize itself'. Hence it is that Supreme Consciousness that causes ever increasing information/intelligence or entropy.
Aditya Hrdayam - Creating newer Order
Ravan enters the battle-field afresh after exiting it in disarray. Ram got concerned on the reasoning behind Ravan's vociferous re-entry. Sage Agastya comes into the battle-field, sees Ram in this mood and explains this secret of Aditya (Hence Aditya Hrdayam), the secret of the Unbounded Consciousness that manifests itself in twelve ways.
In a nut-shell, even the Universe falls into Dark Ages after it starts its evolution. But eventually it gets out of its Dark Ages and establishes the cycle of life and death. All the stars, planets and galaxies are controlled by that Supreme consciousness which manifests in different ways.
So there is no need for us to worry in face of a huge challenge or difficulty.
The ultimate destroyer of all obstructions in this Universe is Savitr or Entropy. Entropy increases dis-order in Universe or Information and Intelligence in Universe. It destroys existing order in this process.
Savitr or Entropy is the enemy of existing order. It creates newer and newer order in the Universe. The best example of entropy is Universe itself which has evolved from its Dark ages to one bubbling with life.
Savitr or Entropy is the root of intelligence evolution in Universe.
Sage Agastya asks Rama to get inspiration from the Supreme consciousness that drives thermodynamic evolution of matter and life in Universe. It has made seemingly impossible things to become possible.

Bhaskaram – Maker of the appearance (bhAs – make evident, cause to appear, kara – makes, does) one who makes it evident or one who makes things to appear
Bhuvana – The worlds
Easwaram – Enabler (interpreted as Lord, Master)
The Revered ‘self-less’ cosmic microwave background or Light makes things appear, is the enabler of all the worlds
When the cord that stirs around raised, the forces of devas and asuras submitted. This revered self-less, CMB or Light makes things appear, is the enabler of all the worlds.
Sarva deva atmako- In all the ‘soul/essence’ of all devas (In the ‘soul/essence of’ all the matter of the Universe)

tejasvee – the glowing, dignified
rashmi – cord/rope/bond, girdle
bhaavanah – the consciousness/thought
In all the ‘soul/essence’ of matter (the visible ones we see in the universe), glows that cord/rope/bond as consciousness. The rope/cord that stirs everything glows in the essence of all the matter as consciousness.
