A Practical Advice

பொதுவாகப் பெரியவர்கள், முதியவர்கள் தாம் இதுவரை நல்லபடியாக வாழ்ந்ததற்கு, இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்து கொண்டு, எஞ்சி இருக்கும் நாட்களிலும் நோய், நொடியின்றி ஆரோக்கியமாக, மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்து இறைவனடி சேரவேண்டும் என்றுதான் தினமும் பிரார்த்தித்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கின்றார்கள். இதுவரை சாதித்தது போதும் இன்னும் சாதிக்க ஒன்றும் இல்லை என்றுதான் நினைக்கின்றார்கள்.

அப்படி ஏதாவது நோய் வரினும் அதிகக்கஷ்டப்படாமல், உடல் வேதனைஇல்லாமல், முக்கியமாக சொந்த, பந்தங்களுக்கு, மற்றவர்களுக்கு எந்த கஷ்டமும் கொடுக்காமல் அழைத்துக்கொள் என்றுதான் இறைவனை வேண்டுகிறார்கள்.

ஓன்று மட்டும் நிச்சயம். எல்லோருக்கும் தெரிந்த உண்மைதான் ! வருவதும், போவதும் யார் கையிலும் இல்லை. ஒரு நொடி கூட முன்போ, காலதாமதமாகவோ வரவோ, போகவோ முடியாது. இதில் மாற்றுக்கருத்து யாருக்கும் இருக்கமுடியாது.

அதனால், பொதுவான பெரியவர்கள், முதியவர்களின் எண்ணத்தை இங்கு பதிவு செய்யவிரும்புகின்றேன். நானும் ஒரு முதியவன் என்பதால் இந்தத் தகுதி எனக்கு இருக்கின்றது என்றே நம்புகிறேன். இனிமேலாவது, முதியவர்களுக்கு மருத்துவச்செலவிற்காக, உங்களிடம் உள்ள சேமிப்புமுழுவதையும், சொத்துக்களை விற்றோ, கடன் வாங்கியோ செலவழிக்க வேண்டாம். நீங்கள் முதியவர்களை உங்கள் வீட்டில் வைத்துகொண்டு அன்பாக, அரவணைப்பாக பார்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்கள் அதிகக்கஷ்டப்படாமல், உடல் வேதனைப்படாமல் இருக்க வேண்டிய மருந்துகளை மட்டும் தவறாமல் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள். மற்றவற்றை ஆண்டவன் பார்த்துக்கொள்வான். கவலைப்படாதீர்கள்.

அவர்கள் அதிகக்கஷ்டப்படாமல், உடல் வேதனைப்படாமல் இருக்க வேண்டிய மருந்துகளை மட்டும் தவறாமல் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள்.

I beg to differ with you on this subject.

I have known families which have fallen out on this issue.

we are no one to decide on adequacy of treatment of the old .

with medical advances ,most can get well on advanced treatment in hospitals.

One does not write off senior citizens this way.

Let us learn to be fighters until the last.

I have a friend whose niece had leukamia - blood cancer when she was less than five years old .

Her father did not want to spend money on expensive treatment as he thought anyway she will die.

His wife walked out on him with her child and got her treated with imported medicines and hospitalisation spending all her assets and jewellery

the girl got cured and she is 45 yrs now.

the mother ended her marriage with the callous father.

I also know senior citizen undergoing heart surgery when they are in eighties and recovering to live a good life .

age has got nothing to do with medical treatment .

, human life has to be prolonged at all costs in every possible way.
