THE PRINCESS
Her skin of alabaster white
The mischievous sparkling eyes
The cascading black curls
Denoting a beauty beyond compare
The ruby and diamond tiara
sparkling on the dainty head
A burden large and heavy
which she bore without a care
Her dress flowing and white
Inlaid with gold and precious gems
The shoes covering her dainty legs
A priceless apparel for a princess fair
She flitted through the gardens
Full of plants and creepers green
The shower of flowers both red and purple
Bedecking her body fair
The noble King and the handsome Queen
Cast their glances on her with pride
A priceless gift bestowed on them
for happiness beyond compare
She went about her regal duties
serving all in the land with care
In the happiness of her people
she found bountiful joy to share
