Narendra Modi was in his elements today as he tore into the Congress Party in his speech on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha. He rebutted the claims of the Congress Party in detail and took several digs at its policy failure and its boastful claims.

1. In a scathing attack, Narendra Modi put the blame for the partition of the country squarely on the feet of the Indian National Congress. He stated that India is still suffering from the seeds of hatred sown in the country as a consequence of the actions of the Congress Part during that period.

2. Narendra Modi also ripped into the claims of the Congress party that democracy was a gift granted to India solely by Nehru. Narendra Modi mentioned that the statements of leaders from the Congress Party gives one the impression that the Indian nation came into being on the 15th of August, 1947 and that such an opinion reeked of arrogance and hubris.
