It is a global shame! We need to educate our masses to build toilets!

60% of the global open defecators belong to India! In all 10 countries constitute 82% of the problem

India's number is more than double that of the rest of the nine nations put together (229 million).

It is causing so many diseases!

We talk about giving respecting women but we allow them to defecate in the open is the trend line of a campaign by Actor Vidya Balan! How true!!

sulabh international is doing commendable work in building toilets . If corporates contribute to this

cause as part of CSR , it will be a good step forward .

In rural areas , the situation is bad .

the zeal that is shown for building places of worship , some of it can be used to build decent

toilets for both sexes .

the maintenance of existing toilets should also be given priority . at many places , people prefer walls as the toilets are stinking and are not usable

throwing water from tankers on them is just wastage of water , no solution to the issue

if toilets are available , no one would mind using them.

also in pay and use toilets , many do not have small change to pay which makes it difficult for use .

some hanging picture of Gods on walls to stop this activity leads only to disrespect to god and the merry practice of urinating remains .

even in my flat , on the main road , the stair case area was getting liberally used by passerby for urinating

I was forced to put a huge grill door to save the staircase area from becoming a public urinal
