OTHERS:

1. We can consider small girls in form of devi (from the age of 2-10) and worship them with the corresponding pooja names of devi and provide them thamboolam

2. We can sing a song from "navavarna krithis" of Swathi thirunal or muthuswamy dikshitar each song a day.

3. In the day of amavasya, we can call devi as we do the day before "Varalaksmi vridham". But here we should invoke all the goddesses (Durga, lakshmi and saraswathi)

4. We can offer thamboolam to all the ladies who comes to our home at any time. If possible offer them devi's prasadam (Food) also.

5. Avoid getting angry, reduce tension and be cheerful all these days which is the most important thing.

6. These days are not for showing our pomp to others but these are the days which actualy mingles people with each other by the very same mean mingles ourselves with DEVI.

7. If not possible, atleast offer her milk and fruits.

8. Dont lock your homes during evening times and go to other's homes for collecting Sundals...:(

9. Finish all your works and make anyone available in your home and then leave. Never avoid anyone who calls for you to get thamboolam. It is very precious to get and give thamboolam (Devi herself is called as "Thamboola pooritha mukhi".
