Age at which Shatabhishekam should be done

correct. sathabhishekam must be done only in utharayanam. Also you have to wait till uthataranam if 81 years completed in dakshinayanam.

How do we put in invitation in tamil for sadabhishekam of Chitappa and Chithi please. Is there any alternate for words like siriya thagappanar siriya thaayar

you have to see 1000 chandra darsan third day after amavasai (moonraam pirai). then only you are eligible for sadhabhishekam. for 80years you are seeing only 80x12=960
Moonraam pirai .in this 80 years chaandra maana adika maadham will come once in 30 months. In this you are getting 32 Moonraam pirai in 80 years. 960+32=992. only after having completed 80 years+8 months ( calender year) you are eligible for sadhabishekam praayas chitham ceremony.

Some people add the months spent in mother's womb and celebrate after completing 80 years.

We had a thread, recently, by our member 'naithru', to inform this.

sathabishekam must be done only on janma nakshathram day. you can do on the janma nakshathram day on any other month in utharayanam.

One can calculate the number of days from his DOB(english Calendar) to his completion of 80 years.divide by 29.5 and that will be the number of full moons which would have occured.

Agree with you - Krishna Said : that he venerates a " sahasra chandra Jeevi " ,[along with various others like a Nityannadhaata ]. One supposes its a simple calculation - of one thousand moons in one's life! And all these are praayaschittams only - any dosham acqured in these years of living to be cleansed and a purer existence made possible - everything else done is totally "laukeekam"! Nowadays with increased longevity, quite a lot of people are interested in the sataabhishekam, and kanakaabhishekam, etc.
