Sunday Reflections

Another sunday june 17 2018.

Local AAP govt is on strike as it is not being allowed to govern by Lt governor and the centre.

CMs of four states are in delhi to support his case.

IAS officers meant to aid the local govt are refusing to listen to the state Govt and carry out its orders.

Locals have to manage without a Govt elected by them.

But then locals also do not care much

Power and water are available and veg prices though have hit a high.

It is cheaper to eat out than cook home as hotels enjoy economy of scale.

Dust storms almost every day is taking its toll . But temperature is a bit down.

2. Postponing holidaying as uttarakhand and himachal are getting downpours and storms . Shimla after water shortage is now getting rains and landslides.

Airfares are shooting up due to raising fuel prices and more regulation.Confrontation between US and china is taking its toll on emerging markets. Our stock

markets are almost at standstill . Except traders not many are risking their money. Some discerning investors are going for value picks as market is offering quality

stocks at low prices. Public sector banks are bleeding due to NPAs .Private banks are no better. But it is worthwile to start accounts in private banks as one can

expect better service if not higher interest.Only risky investments are available to small investors in mutual funds .The outlook is dismal.

Another sunday june 17 2018.

Local AAP govt is on strike as it is not being allowed to govern by Lt governor and the centre.

What was he actually doing as Chief Minister, when the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was humiliated and assaulted?

Some may ask as to what are they going to achieve even if allowed to govern?

Dharna is not new to Kejriwal. No one would have forgotten his dharna on the eve of Republic Day (2014) in high security Zone.

While Delhi Babus are on unofficial dharna, BJPs MLA are reportedly staging counter dharna at the C.Ms Office at Delhi Secretariat.

It is dharna, dharna everywhere but NO DHARNA AGAINST AIR POLLUTION.

Where is Dharma, an elected Government is reportedly at standstill for the past few days leaving the public at......???

Thank God Tamil Nadu public prove they are far better indeed.

In Delhi,AAP is much better than congress or BJP.

The govt has ensured water supply and electricity supply with hardly any failure in peak summer so far.

The subsidies on these has kept the poor and middle class happy..

Their Govt school initiatives has enabled lakhs of poor to get decent education.School teachers are not misused for other govt works like census, They get paid on time .

AAP might be at loggerheads with Lt Governor who acts as the agent of the centre to frustrate delhi govt functioning. Modi is a poor loser .He cannot accept AAP governing

delhi.

Delhiites agony are very pathetic.

AAP Government committed among other tall promises, to vacuum clean all roads…. What happened…?

It promised to establish fast track courts… what happened...?

What is the number of DTC buses plying…why it came down and what is the condition of these buses…?

It is reported that it failed to control pollution

It failed to control metro fare hike

It failed to clean Yamuna

It failed to provide free wi-fi as promised and failed to instal CCTV as committed

It failed to solve traffic problems and miserably failed to take full control of Delhi

Instead of working with Central Govt. cordially, he was attacking the Centre for everything and anything.

There is conflict daily with the Delhi Governor, but this was not the case when Sheila Dixit was C.M.

Who is the poor loser..?

It is AAPs Ministers who were caught with their pants down.

AAP is better of course, in blaming Central Government and the L.G of Delhi for everything.

Ultimately who are the sufferers.

One needs to understand how urban transport is organised in delhi.

School and office timings are staggered so That both schools and offices share the buses both DTC and private buses.

Electric battery operated autos and CNG autos feed the metro rail to solve the last mile issues.

Battery operated share autos also ferry domestic helps from their resettlement colonies to middle class homes for work for 5Rs.

Roads are cleaned at night with water from water tankers not vaccum cleaned though.

House garbage is collected from right outside homes by civic garbage vans fitted with PA systems.

Shiela Govt was good but she lost power due to CWG scams of congress central govt.

Next generation congressmen are not good enough.BJP is a non starter in delhi. So Delhiites have no choice.

No one in delhi takes either central or state govt seriously.

The city has a momentum of its own. It shrugs off protestors of all political parties and carries on.

AAP brand of Govt believes in confrontation for asserting its right to govern as it has the mandate.

People do not care for either local or central govt. They enjoy what is happening and carry on with life

Keep on confronting politics. Try to assert your rights and don't forget that when the term ends, the AAP needs to go back to the public with a begging bowl seeking their support.

And the public who tried this Party... and having experienced its flaws, may take a different stand.

Why last year Delhiites elected the BJP to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

And the AAP does not seems to learn any lessons from the past.

Will they forget the vector-borne disease that affected the lives of 3000 people and resulted in the death of nearly 30 precious lives.

Can the AAP Government come out to say that there is absolutely no Water Tank Mafia now at Delhi? Will Delhiites admit that Water Tank Mafia is completely under control now...?

Government has not procured any buses... especially when the population is growing.

Transport Corporation is making loss.

Delhi Metro fare was hiked in October affecting
3 lakh commuters a day

Safety of women is another point

Nowhere in India, one can see a Chief Secretary being manhandled

Party with inexperienced leaders

What a leader with mere EGO can achieve...?

Real Delhiites will have more negative answers.

dear Krish44....not able to figure out why/how Brahmins especially, who are part of this forum, are concerned with the various politcal, stockmarket, local affairs etc. are concerned...whatever you have written in 'sunday reflections' are all available in the daily newspapers and on the net and also on the TV...seems irreevant...one expected to see something worthwhile and got curious on seeing the catchy heading....suggest you please avoid such posting...pls take in right spirit and not get upset

No one in delhi takes either central or state govt seriously.

When AAP swept the poll last time with a resounding victory, BJP came second, in terms of percentage of votes polled. BJP still has sizable presence.

BJP lost Delhi because of caste fight between Sushma Swaraj and the late Sahib Singh Verma.

Throughout India people are not very serious about Governments.

Honestly... are you unable to spot me...???????

Swathi25 is too argumentative to be a newbie. Thanks for confirming my doubts

Wise will pay attention to the text, message and arguments and NOT to the person behind it. Got it....???

I do not agree. Let members talk about things they find worthwhile to mention and if found interesting by members, they are going to respond or participate. I think let us not discourage any member from talking about any topic. Of course, members will have to be careful not to be offensive or extreme.

My previous reply was to the observations in this Quote.

Very true but krish44 also made very wise comments though differing with your views. He just mentioned you as argumentative which does not appear bad or extreme and you also highlighted in your reply that wise should pay attention to.... arguments!!

Very interesting discussion!

I guess its ok to have a different point of view from time to time.
Surely not everyone from a community would have similar interests..even identical twins dont always have the same interest.

If these can be found anywhere in newspaper or elsewhere online..so can anything else in Forum can be found anywhere.

Yes..headings are meant to be catchy..Sunday Reflections can be anything from reflections of ones mind to Khilji watching the reflection of Padmavati on a Sunday morning mirror! LOL

please take my post in the right spirit too.

Regards.

Not real transgenders! :)

They are in a not-so-good-disguise!! :drama:

The pity is that they are unable to change the style(!?) of writing! ;)

It appears there are veterans who are bothered as to who is in disguise and go for a detailed evaluation of the disguise :)

And the pity is they don't see the strength of others sticking to their own style of writing even in disguise. ;)

And now add this too in the freebies list

Who is bothered....... it is taxpayers money..

Free 2-night 3-day pilgrimage every year for Delhi's senior citizens. Check details here

Read more at:

Perhaps Delhiites may be happy to go out of Delhi in disguise of pilgrimage, etc fearing the pollution level.

And who is bothered about Delhi's ranking in 'ease of doing business'...!!

There is lack of planning and application/execution in checking pollution level.

There is lack of planning and application in strengthening of public transport system. It is reported that it was unable to add a single bus in DTC's fleet strength.

And where is e-governance...?

One more day left for the next sunday.Postings have continued for the whole week.

Rains which have arrived early are leaving Delhi battered badly. Though not as bad in mumbai.

Ring roads are getting jammed and under passes of flyovers are filled with water due to blocked drains.

Shops in Malls even with discounts have hardly any takers.Bad weather and inflation are taking its toll on sales in retail segment.

Room air conditioner and cooler sales are badly hit .

Tamil films have no takers in multiplexes. Maharashtra govts decision to allow outside food in cinema multiplexes is going to hurt the theatre owners. Shares of PVR. INOX

crashed due to Govt decision.

What could be of interest to Tamil brahmins ?. Religious tours to uttarakhand and himalayan ranges are in disarray with pilgrims from Tamilnadu getting stuck . Tamilnadu

govt has to help in airlifting these. This is one thong that TN representatives in delhi do well.

School children are happy. Some schools have given unscheduled holidays.Parents have to manage the school kids home. Not a pleasant prospect for parents.

Domestic workers and sanitation workers are the happiest due to rain enforced holiday. Only Garbage is piled up leaving a stink behind

in response to Krish's reply, any posting so long as its not offensive etc. should not be permitted..there are a plethora of forums/social media; blogs where people are free to write what they feel and like...one must remember that we have joined TamBrahmin membership since we all are keen to understand /share/express SPECIFICALLY on TamBrhmin matters. Time is precious for all and its not fair that member reads about weather, political scene in canada or the economy of Brazi or ever world cup football. Besides most read print media also daily and therefore, almost everyone is uptodate of these general matters, but insofar as Tam Brahmin matters one looks forward to interactions in this DEDICATED FORUM. ....there is no intent one is sure, to curb speech/expression...all we are saying is lets stick to our topic of interest...lastly, but allowing expression for any subject if everyone starts then this forum will become one big hotchpotch like say a yahoo.com site...more importantly, learning about unknown matters related to Brahmin topics may tend to get distracted if not reduced...which ultimately is not the goal of this forum...we must make best, optimum use of the valuable resource of this forum and members' knowledge to be focussed on the subject and not clutter up our minds with general news....

Another sunday 23rd july 2018.

Delhi continues to have rains throwing life out of gear .

No trust motion in Loksabha gave a day of entertainment to all.RGs hugging NM and winking later was the highlight.Politicians of the ruling class and the opposition are

losing their credibility by their antics in parliament.TN politicians of the ruling party in TN did not cover themselves with glory be refusing to cooperate with opposition.

What is there new to talk about?

No new developments .With foreign economic advisors losing their influence in the govt, the swadeshi gang has taken over stalling any further reforms in Public sector

companies and banks. Air india sell off is on back burner.Public sector banks continue to bleed with more NPAs. Inflation -including food and fuel are showing no signs of

reducing.IDBI being palmed off to LIC is a classic example of window dressing fiscal deficit.

Stock market though hitting high levels, the foreign investors are pulling out and domestic institutions picking up their stake. Markets are in a range with a few blue chips

doing well.Except index stocks others are going down. Middle class investors can only loose money by investing.

With state elections around the corner, uncertainities are going to increase.

There is no silver lining on the horizon.

I sincerely hope something positive happens in india bringing cheer to all.
