VSRC interim report on Thoothukudi riots in Tamil Nadu establishes a clear nexus between the Church and the rioters
If the findings by a group of professionals drawn out from fields like internal security, defence forces, judiciary and political observers are any indication, Tamil Nadu has almost become a testing laboratory for the Church-Islamist-Lefts-Maoist-Periyarites axis which want the State to break away from Indian union and form a separate Christian Republic a la the Tamil Eelam visualised by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
Two prominent figures quoted by the VSRC team are Gaspar and Mohan Lazarus, the former a Catholic priest while the latter is an evangelist.
Vedic Science Research Centre (VSRC), a Chennai based think tank, in a detailed study held all over the State has found that Tamil Nadu is boiling, in a subtle manner, fuelled by the Periarites, Marxists, Church, Maoists and Islamic Terrorists. The riots at Thoothukudy in the month of May 2018 that claimed the lives of 15 persons were fomented by this anti-national axis, the VSRC team found out. The role of international agencies in augmenting the riots has to be probed, said the VSRC report which has been accessed by Team PGurus.
An immaculate investigation by this team brought out the link between the Church and the rioters. “The various factions of the Church are behind the agitation against Sterlite Copper unit at Thoothukudy. Their allegation that the Thoothukudy region is polluted only because of the Sterlite Copper Unit is questionable. There are hundreds of chemical industries in the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Industrial Estate. The question is why Sterlite Copper is being singled out?” asked one of the team members who probed the Thoothukudy riots. He spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal from the private army funded by the Church.
The VSRC team also found that the Anti-Sterlite Movement is the continuation of many such agitations and arsons against development initiatives in Tamil Nadu. The VSRC investigators have concluded that police resorted to firing only as a last measure and that too to save more than 200 innocent lives who had to bear the brunt of the rioters.

“The agitation against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, the Marina Beach sit-in demanding the removal of the Supreme Court ban on Jallikkattu, the demonstrations against the government of India to set up hydrocarbon plants in Cauvery Delta Region, the ONGC mission to extract shale gas from the Cauvery districts, the agitation demanding the shutting down of the Indian Neutrino Observatory at Theni, and the agitation against the setting up of the world-class InterContinental Container Shipment Terminal in Kanyakumari district are all interconnected. The ultimate idea is to block and prevent all kind of development works in this part of the country and to condition the region for a secessionist movement, which has already taken shape in the area,” said Ramakrishnan Gauthaman, director, VSRC.

The report quotes even former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who told an international publication that the agitators at Kudankulam in Tirunelveli district were being funded by agencies from foreign countries(1) “Dr. Manmohan Singh had said that the NGOs in Tirunelveli and Thoothukudy Districts were receiving funds from Organisations based in the United States of America and Scandinavian countries. The money was channeled mainly through the church-based NGOs namely Tuticorin Diocese Association and Tuticorin Multipurpose Social Service Society,” the report quotes.

The report submitted by the VSRC to the Home Ministry is a work done painstakingly. Each point mentioned in the report has been substantiated by documentary evidence, pictures, audio/ video clippings and inputs provided by the residents of the local community. “This controversial plant has been a money spinner for many politicians, bureaucrats, civil society groups and Church priests for long. The current bout of the strike is to oppose the expansion of this plant. The protests against this plant were peaceful throughout and whatever legal or departmental action against the wrongdoings of this plant was the result of this peaceful protest,” said Gauthaman.
The report has also pointed out the abnormal interest shown by certain political groups and religious groups in retaining the services of an official of the Archaeological Survey of India at Keezhadi in Sivaganga District for an ongoing excavation work and also the attempts by most of the Dravidian and Left parties in charging the Centre for alleged attempt to impose Hindi and Sanskrit over Tamil Nadu while there was no such move. The Church-sponsored agitations held in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts in the aftermath of the Okhi cyclones have been listed in the report as part of anti-national initiatives. “The rescue and relief operations held by the Union Government post-Okhi cyclone has been of an exemplary standard but the dominant religious community in the region waged an undeclared war against the government by spreading falsehoods,” says the report which also lists the names of NGOs, individuals, and organisations which are working round-the-clock promoting separatism and Tamil Nation cause.
Two prominent figures quoted by the VSRC team are Gaspar and Mohan Lazarus, the former a Catholic priest while the latter is an evangelist. While Gaspar is a close associate of DMK’s K Kanimozhi, party chief M Karunanidhi’s daughter, Lazarus is the one credited with evangelising hundreds of thousands of people across Tamil Nadu including MDMK leader Vaiko (Y Gopalaswamy). Lazarus said in a TV interview that it was he who brought Vaiko to the path of Jesus(2). But Vaiko, with his friends in the media like B Kolappan of The Hindu got a news published that he does not discriminate between religions(3). He has been quoted as saying that the news that he had been converted to Christianity has the potential to harm his political career as he fears that Hindus would not vote for him if they come to know his defection to Christianity. Rationalist Vaiko’s wife Renuka is praying in all Churches and telling special novenas for the election of her husband from one of the constituencies in the State.

The team has found that three churches in the districts of Thoothukudy, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari are the hubs of all secessionist and anti-national operations in Tamil Nadu. “What is disturbing is that majority of the MLAs from these three districts are Christians because the Christian community would vote only for candidates propped up by the Church,” said one of the team members.
The full VSRC report accessed by Team PGurus is included as an enclosure. Taken aback by the findings of the VSRC, a self-styled group constituted by the Church by including a group of proactive Christians like M G Devasahayam (former IAS officer), Jacob Punnoose (former IPS officer), R T Sreekumar (former IPS officer who is credited with sabotaging India’s space research programme by cooking up the spy scandal of 1995), Kalpana Kannabeeran (Maoist), Hari Paranthaman (former judge of Madras High Court and a known Periyariite) and a slew of fishermen leaders (all belonging to the Christian community), has blamed the police and the Tamil Nadu administration for the rioting and police firing(4). The report named People’s Inquest, says that public testimonial states that the district administration and police attacked and molested the rioters at the instance of the Sterlite Copper Management. Devasahayam, a known Hindu baiter is trying to put the entire blame on the Narendra Modi government for every mishap that has happened in the country since 1947. As expected the report prepared under the tagline People’s Inquest has come a cropper.

I would like to share the following article published in Swarajya which throws more light on the topic.
[h=1]Anti-Sterlite Protests: Who Is Behind The Tuticorin Turmoil?[/h][h=1]By M.R. Subramani & Aravindan Neelakandan[/h]
Excerpts:

Naam_Tamizhar.png

Fingers are being pointed at two key players behind these protests. First is Fatima Babu, a local environment activist, and second is Mohan C Lazarus, who runs a television channel.

Lazarus, a fundamentalist Christian evangelist with political clout, also joined the Luddite protests, signalling a combination of Dravidianist-Tamil separatist and Christian evangelical forces using green fascism to further the ‘Breaking India’ agenda.

The protests gathered momentum on 24 March, when a section of traders downed shutters in Tuticorin following a call for total closure. The traders were forced to down shutters on orders from churches in Tuticorin. Priests in the churches were approached by Lazarus after which they asked traders of their community to cooperate with the shutdown plan.

Fatima Babu interacted with Foil Vedanta founder Samendra Das, a non-resident Indian based in London, for the 24 March shutdown. Media reports quoting police said Das was one of the reasons why the protests grew louder. Das had visited Tuticorin twice and had provoked the Kumarattiyapuram villagers to continue the protests. (Foil Vedanta is a London-based network targeting Vedanta allegedly for its ‘human rights abuses and illegal operations’.)

There are two more objectives behind escalating the protests, an observer told Swarajya. One is some of the leaders, who are vociferous are out to make monetary gains. The reality is that Vedanta Resources, the parent of Sterlite Copper, has donated to all political parties. Though the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has supported the protests, it may not do it wholeheartedly as the relative of one of its top leaders is a supplier for Sterlite.

Second, it is seen as effort that is being continued to discredit the Narendra Modi government since acceptance for the Hindu Tamil concept is growing and Dravidian parties feel threatened by it. The recent success of a rath yatra by a Thiruvananthapuram-based mutt despite opposition from the DMK and other parties, and questioning of Dravida Kazhagam founder E V Ramasamy’s principles, are concerns for the Dravidian parties that they are trying to divert attention by discrediting the central government.

The failure of the Congress in rebuilding itself after it lost power to DMK in the late 60s and settling itself to few Parliamentary seats with DMK ,AIADMK has led to this pathetic situation in which no National Party has a major role in the state . Moopanar had a Chance with TMC in Mid 90s but again ended up settling with Jaya & Co later for few seats . BJP has also lost its relevance in the state except for few pockets in Kanyakumari , Coimbatore etc and added to that big mouths like H Raja and S Ve Sekhar have caused more harm to the BJP through their foul mouths and offensive tweets . Now everyone is looking up to Rajinikath to fill this gap but I very much doubt how successful he will be as a Politician who will echo the National Interests in the State

Tamilnadu was a prominent state when the british governed India.

Now it is a marginalised state with no clout anywhere and lives on handouts from the centre.

Courts are unable to get them their rightful share of power or water.

Talent has fled the state for other metros and abroad.

Left overs made up of church, maoists, naxalite , dravidian sundry groups are trying to whip up emotions with some film stars with political ambitions encouraging them.

The state requires a leader who can bring some respectability to the state.

None is visible on the horizon

Tamil Nadu is getting its share in all respects.

There are several reasons. Some of them are :

1. Disunity among Hindus as the State becomes highly caste centric
2. Tamilians become minority
3. Isolation of Brahmins from rest of Tamilians by non-Tamilians to control the State
4. Cinematic approach to deal with major problems
5. In the name rational thinking, anti-Tamil and Anti-Hindu groups are given prominence

The list is endless.

When compared to other States, Tamil Nadu is doing good.... in fact far better than Delhi.

It is the State where minorities don't feel threatened.

[h=1]How did Tamil Nadu grow into one of India’s most developed states? Find out here[/h][h=2]This year is a landmark year at many levels for Tamil Nadu, for both its history and politics. It is the 101st year of the founding of the Justice Party which was supposed to change Tamil Nadu totally.[/h]
How did sleepy Tamil Nadu, far from the national capital and which appeared anti-national at one point, grow into one of the most developed states in the country? Its growth rates match that of the much-praised Gujarat. Tamil Nadu has only recently started attracting attention because of its success under various parameters. Nobody beyond the southern borders paid much attention to what was happening here. The state has only been seen as a place where film stars became leaders.

…………………………

The step made it possible for a generation of youngsters to enter professional colleges. During Jayalalithaa’s last years, Tamil Nadu was increasingly turning into a welfare state. What is sneeringly referred to as the freebie culture has managed to reduce abject poverty. For example, free distribution of mixer-grinder kitchen machines reduces hours of slogging for women of poor household. It allows women to go out and earn more income even as a domestic.

In fact, the latter (SIPCOT) set up industrial estates in the 1970s and 1980s. These agencies have been responsible for creating land banks that proved very useful when foreign investors came knocking. There are more industrial clusters in the state than anywhere in the country.

In spite of all the problems plaguing it, the 2016 growth figures still put it among the most progressive states. Tamil Nadu is one of the three most preferred states for business investments and it is ranked second behind Maharashtra in GDP. Foreign investments attracted during the last five years is double that investments from 2000 to 2011. In terms of poverty alleviation, Tamil Nadu is only one of eight states that recorded poverty reduction at a rate higher than the all-India average. Its per-capita income—Rs 1,43,547 at current prices (2015-16)—is about 70% more than the all-India average and the third-highest amongst large states. Its Human Development Index is second amongst large states and socio-economic development status is much higher than the national average.

…………………………………..

It is little wonder that all the aforementioned landmarks are not being celebrated with the usual Dravidian vigour and extravagance.

Rajini is a commercial man to the core..We cannot trust him...Look at what he has done in Kaala by speaking against Lord Rama!!

I just saw the movie.
Rajini doesnt speak anything bad about Lord Rama.

Its just that Nana Patekar describes Rajini as Ravan.

Then Rajini walk out of Nanas home and says.
Stab me at the back if you want.

Well..that is sort of hinting about Rama and Vaali ordeal but again not wrong cos Rama did shoot Vaali from the back.

Next is Nana Patekar doing Rama pooja..again nothing wrong becos enough corrupt politicians do worship God.

Then burning the slum scene sort of has shades of Lanka on fire.

But I like the most is the reversal of roles of white for purity and black for evil.

Here the Man in Black is the good guy and the Man in White a bad guy.

The movie was simply fantastic.
At no stage Lord Rama was shown in bad light..Rama was merely the " witness" in an ordeal of Rajini Vs Nana.

Though I have not seen the movie, I heard the story revolves around Mumbai slum.

Does Tamil Nadu, in general, and Chennai, in particular, not have any slum? The Director, probably feeling political backlash, involves Mumbai, which shows his lack of courage.

Can a Tamilian revolt against a Mumbaikar? The story seems to be extremely unrealistic. The Director's main purpose, in all probability, is to take on a Hindu sentiments.

May be not direct...But subtle anti Rama overtones...Rajini doing this is unimaginable...Looks like the story & screenplay by K. Veeramani of the DK...

I spend a few weeks every year in chennai and interior tamil nadu.

My knowledge is based on inputs from from auto drivers, uber/ola car drivers domestic workers and hotel employees.

These know what is best in tamil nadu . Anybody believing in statistics put out by National sample survey and such agencies have to be pitied. I know how data is cooked

up by various agencies to please those in power. From the lowest village level number that look credible based on previous year data is coolly passed on . Ultimately

statistics has to please those in power.LOL

So, it is NOT definitely firsthand information

Those who depend on such hearsay information need to be only pitied.

Such knowledge may be misinformation and misleading most of the time.

If one is in searching for truth, he need to trust the Statistics, Survey reports, etc which are probably true.

Statistics establishes the stand of the poster and substantiate the truth

And for people for whom truth is insignificant, they are free go by hearsay, rumours, gossips, biased opinions, impartial reviews, etc

I think some who are not serious about facts, are free to go by hearsay reports.

Spreading lies and establishing truth always makes the difference.

IMO, it is certainly worthless to spend time on such chatting.

It is individuals who try to spread messages based on hear say which mostly prove untrue.

It is always better to trust the statistics and survey reports rather than individual opinion which can be based at times.
