this is spe. recipe especially for those who are diet conscious..... protein rich moong dal (paasi paruppu) makes it more healthier diet, also less oil (fat) content , u can also make this without moong dal . It tastes wonderful with salted whole lemon. this is good for pathyam what we call in Ayurveda ,also very good for post delivery times.

INGREDIENTS

1) Vegetables are cut into cubes.1/2 Inch
2) elephant foot yam (chenai) - 1 cup
3) raw banana - 1 cup
4) ash gourd (elavan/vellai poozhinikkai) - 1/2 cup (optional)
5) moong dal - 1/2 cup(if req)
6) turmeric - 1/2 tspn
7) pepper powder - 1 tspn (Adjust to your taste)
8) salt
9) Coconut oil
curry leaves

HOW TO MAKE

--> Clean the vegetable and transfer that to a cooker..

--> Add 2 cups of water. Adjust the water according to how much you would like the vegetables to be cooked. It taste good if the veggies turn mushy also.

-->Pressure cook for 3 whistles and cook for another 5 minutes on low flame.
-->Lightly mash the cooked gravy by the ladle. Add water to adjust the consistency. If you are adding water, then boil on stove stop .
