The story of Ganesha - Entropy increasing energy

The story of Ganesha

Parvati wanted to take bath. She creates a 'boy' and asks him to guard and not allow anyone inside. When shiva tries to come in, boy does not allow Shiva. Shiva cuts the head of the boy in rage. On seeing this, pArvati wants to restore the boy. Hence shiva fixes a large head of an elephant on the boy and makes him to come alive. Thus Ganesha, the elephant-head god was born.

The science behind

Shiva is Energy. Shakti is momentum. Parvati is the energy locked in matter.

Let's say there is a system of particles. They have two characteristics.

  1. The particles are in motion. The average kinetic energy (motion energy) is their temperature.
  2. The particles are in different 'microscopic' states. Entropy is proportional to the natural logarithm of the number of microscopic states possible in the system of particles.

When pArvati goes to bath, that is this system of particles is cooled down with temperature reduced to zero, the number of microscopic state gets reduced to a minimum of 1. The system of particles become ‘bosonic’ in nature as all particles become identical. The entropy of this system of particles is zero as natural logarithm of 1 (microscopic state) is zero.

But in reality achieving a ‘absolute zero’ temperature is not possible. Hence at whatever lower temperature (cooling which is bathing) is achieved, the number of microscopic states gets reduced to a minimum but is more than 1. Hence there is said to be a ‘residual entropy’ in the system.

Now in this state of particles with residual entropy, no additional energy (Shiva) can come in, not even a single photon, without increasing either the number of microscopic state of particles or making at least some particle excite differently from others. If Shiva or energy has to be added to this system, the entropy and/or temperature will have to change.

We can say the residual entropy in this system of particles that is cooled down, is like the ‘boy’ in the shiva story that guard against any additional energy (Shiva) coming into the system. The boy has a minimal (or only one) set of information, which is not to allow Shiva in.

Shiva (energy) cuts off the head

When additional energy (Shiva) is added to any system, they result in increase of entropy as well as temperature. Increase in temperature means simply excite the particles more. That's all. But if they have to result in a large entropy change with little temperature change, then some specific set of actions have to take place.

This is what is well explained in this story.

Shiva, the additional energy coming in, results in breaking of bonds of some particles in the system of particles. Those particles whose bonds broke, start expanding in space or occupy more volume. Occupying more volume by some particles means more microscopic states for these particles. This results in a different entropy for the whole system.

This is similar to giving a larger head (or headroom or space) for some particles in the system of particles.

So Shiva, the energy coming in to the system, when it breaks the existing bonds, creates a larger space for some particles (in the whole system of particles) to move around, is akin to fixing a larger elephant head in a normal human body, increasing the entropy of the system of particles, rather than the ‘heat’ (the average kinetic energy) of the system.

This breaking off bonds and creating a larger space for some particles in the system of particles, when energy is added, is visualized as cutting off head and fixing an elephant head by Shiva (energy).

This eventually leads to 'phase change' of particles as old bonds are broken and new ones come up. It eventually leads to a new phase of matter, a new beginning.

Hence Ganesha always symbolizes a a new beginning. We start with Ganesha for all activities.

Now lets talk about the JnanaPhalam! LOL

what was it?
A Hologram?

There was a fruit..hence the 2 brothers had to part ways and Kartikeya went to Tamil Nadu!

So why did "entropy" go in a southward direction?
Why? Why? Tell my why?

North was over crowded ..... Perhaps?

Actually yes, North was overcrowded. So Universe went in its evolution southward, as north was 'massive'.

When Universe originated it had huge energy density. It was 'massive'. But spacetime expanded and energy density came down. If we take origination point as 'North' and spacetime expansion as moving south, then indeed due to spacetime expansion, energy density (mass) decreased as energetic particles of the fields that existed at that time got relocated to 'south'.

:)
