"Change Needed, It Is Time": Rajinikanth Announces New Party.
Rajinikath says he will form new Political party and contest all 234 seats of Tamil Nadu in the next assembly elections.
The long suspense over whether Rajinikanth would enter politics finally ended today, with the superstar making the announcement amid frenzied cheers of hundreds of supporters. "I will do my duty... it is time. We will change the system," the 67-year-old declared in Chennai, saying he would form a new party. Claiming that the events in Tamil Nadu over the last year have made the state a laughingstock, he said, "If I don't make this decision now... the guilt will haunt me". The death of AIADMK's iconic leader J Jayalalithaa last December is seen to have left a vacuum in the state's politics."
This is a statement of intention by Superstar Rajanikanth. His intention is good. As he has told his final decision on the name of his Political outfit will be known after he visits his fans spread over Tamil nadu.

    Sir,

In Tamil Nadu after demise of JJ, there is a political vacuum and only time can tell whether will he be able to fill that…?

It is an undeniable fact that he is a hugely popular film star of Tamil Nadu, but being a Super Star is different and getting majority of votes during the time of Election is different.
Tamil Nadu politics has already seen many popular personalities who failed to shine in poltics for lot of reasons…

After MGR and JJ who are actor-turned politicians, now it appears to be turn of Shivaji Rao Gaikward a.k.a. Rajnikanth to plunge into politics and try his luck.

Of course, the public of Tamil Nadu may be seeking a change in the State’s present political scenario, but will this marathi speaking, Kannadiga, able to make a dent in the caste soaked Dravidian Parties by challenging them is to be seen.

An analysis which speaks perhaps about the real possibility…..!!

Analysis: With Rajinikanth entering politics, Dravidian ideology faces its biggest threat

The next Assembly election could be a fight for the very soul of Tamil Nadu, which remains the final frontier resisting the RSS and Hindutva.

In his most celebrated movie Baasha (1995), Rajinikanth is transformed from the ideal son into an underworld don. But he was no ordinary gangster: his actions were marked by benevolence. In Mumbai’s dark underworld, he was a Robin Hood who took from the bad guys so that he could give to the common people. He played the role of a messiah to perfection.

Sunday witnessed the birth of another avatar of Manik Baasha, this time on the stage of Tamil Nadu politics. “The last one year has brought shame to Tamil Nadu,” the superstar told a gathering of fans. “I will definitely enter politics.”

After 21 years of making convoluted statements about his political ambitions, Rajinikanth finally cleared the haze. What does his decision to enter Tamil Nadu’s electoral politics mean? His Sunday speech, laced with references to the Bhagavad Gita, made it amply clear. After 60 years of dominating Tamil Nadu politics, the Dravidian movement now stares at its biggest challenge. The next Assembly elections could very well turn out to be a fight for the very soul of Tamil Nadu, a state that remains the final frontier for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and its political wing, the Bharatiya Janata Party.
    Spiritual politics

Perhaps the most crucial statement Rajinikanth made on Sunday was about the nature of politics he would like to conduct. “Ours will be spiritual politics,” he asserted.

why perceive anyone as tamilian or non-tamilian? in current times, these terms are anachronism. anyone who is capable of ruling, who most qualifies to sit in chair of TN CM is welcome, provided he proves fit prior to joining the fray.

in current democratic terms the one chosen by number of people more than those who chose others, not majority, is the one who sits in the chair, although majority may have rejected him. the arithmetics/numerics of electing a leader needs serious review and may be revision.

At one stage, everything has to come to a end.

Now there will be another..... group that will challenge the Money power and Muscle power Mannargudi Mafia....

No one proved powerful always..... while time changes money and muscle power also changes from group to group...

During MGR regime, there was a group.....and during JJ period there is another...likewise it may go on and on.......

During every election time, Election Commission seizes crores of cash which goes without saying that cash distribution during election is common factor.

General public selling their votes for cash and politicians adopting different strategies like ‘Thirumangalam Formula’ or ‘Hawala Formula’, etc to gain majority is also becoming a common factor.

That way, to contest in general election in Tamil Nadu, it is established beyond doubts that it requires MONEY POWER besides, muscle power.

What is the current status of Rajnikanth in Money Power…..?

Does he has enough money to run a Party….?

Delivering one line punch dialogues will not do any favour in politics

Having huge fans-following will also not be of much helpful in securing majority

Being a Super Star in ‘reel world’ is different from being a seasoned politician in ‘real world’.

A new political party with a new symbol is getting ready

Now members get register in the web site Rajinimandram…

In an effort to register party cadre, Rajinikanth announces 'rajinimandram' website

Rajinikanth is seated on a sofa, while the now-famous 'Baba' hand symbol is framed behind him.

A day after actor Rajinikanth announced his entry into politics, he took to Twitter to announce the launch of a website that will register members from his registered and unregistered fan clubs as well as those willing to join his party. Although he is yet to announce name for the party and its organisational structure, he had said in his speech that the priority would be to register unregistered fan clubs.

In a video address that opens with the words “Honesty, Hard Work and Progress”, Rajinikanth makes the announcement. After thanking all those who welcomed his entry into politics, he says, “In order to bring about good governance in Tamil Nadu, I have started a rajinimandram.org page for registered fan clubs, unregistered fan clubs and the people of Tamil Nadu. There you can register your name and voter ID number and become a member. Let's bring about a good change in governance in Tamil Nadu. Long live the people of Tamil Nadu. Growth to Tamil Nadu.”

Rajinikanth is seated on a sofa, while the now-famous 'Baba' hand symbol is framed behind him.
