I do not expect Kamal Hasan is serious in entering politics. He wants somehow his presence to be seen among the public.I am sure he is aware that politics is different cup of tea,and if he enters politics he will not be a success.

Recently he announced " that he will need Rs. 30 crore to launch the party, he said that he is confident that his fans would pitch in with his fund,"( The News Minute)

Rajanikanth is better, he has left the decision of joining politics to the will of God !

Kamal in Tamilnadu politics a SWOT analysis:

    Strengths:

    1. He is a Tamil. Speaks Tamil well. Can write in Tamil and match any Tamil Leader word to word in oration and polymics.

    2. He is popular and is well known in the nooks and corners of Tamilnadu. This is the advantage cinema gives. Kamal is instantly recognized by any one in the street.

    3. His Rasikar Narpanimanram is a basic minimum infrastructure on which a party can be built.

    4. He has enough money already. So he can even make a bold declaration that he will remain uncorrupt till he remits office at the end of the term. he can submit all his assets details and get them certified an independent Auditors committee and make his ministers and MLA do the same. He does not require the power to make anymore money for himself or his family.

    5. He has carefully distanced himself from the Brahmin community and thus has earned the approval of hard boiled pakuththaricu crowd. His repeated confirmation of his allegience to Periyarism (whatever it is) has already made him acceptable to the pakuththaricu crowd.

    6. He has carefully cultivated the major OBC community of mukkulathors (thevar, kallar, maravar) with his movies like Thevar makan and his repeated reminder about his native Manamadurai village origin and life there.

    7. He is just about the right age. He is neither an oldie to the young voters nor a immature youngman in a hurry to the old crowd. Though at this age one would expect that he should have matured more. But mostly in Tamilnadu leaders are good only in politicking. Kamal will learn it quickly if he has not learnt it so far.

    8. He has carefully distanced himself from the "north Indian" crowd by his political comments like "my color is not safron" etc., For the average indoctrinated Tamil who has been fed on the staple food of pathelogical hatred for anything north, this is eminently acceptable.

    Weaknesses:

    1. In his enthusiasm to deliver speeches in Tamil, he allows the brahmin in him to take over and gets archaic in using the language. The common man in TN would prefer to hear every day Tamil. He can even put up and enjoy the Adukkumozhi Tamil which dravidian orators swear by because it is simple (force simplified) and sounds attractive even if meaningless. But archaic Tamil is a big no no. It may land Kamal in trouble with his dreams.

    2. While his strong appeal to the mukkulathor community is a plus, it can turn out to be a min us too with Dalits in TN. Kamal has so far not even expressed lip sympathy to this vote bank.

    3. He has to live down for ever his brahmin genes. Else he should aim at dalit support exclusively by identifying and challenging the middle castes which are dominent in Tamilnadu politics. That will be going on a missionary mode and kamal may not be prepared for that.

    4. when coming up against a formidable obstacle, Kamal tends to lose courage. Like when he had his hands full with his Viswarupam 1 and Amma added to his troubles. He cried and declared that he will leave the country. LOL. Politicians in this country are not made of such soft stuff.

    5. He has not surrounded himself with quality material as advisors.

Brief analysis of Opportunities and threat in next post.

    opportunities:

    1. The ruling behemoth AIADMK is losing cohesiveness and is imploding. This is an opportunity. Kamal can become a rallying point. Particularly with his base among the mukkulaththor and Gounders communities which are the dominent middle castes of Tamilnadu, he will be acceptable to a large number of people in Tamilnadu if he cares to get into the AIADMK camp and asserts to give it the most needed leadership to rally around. DMK has tied itself in knots with its dynasty oriented style of power sharing. So at best DMK is fit only to be an opposition-in-waiting for ever. With his allegience to Periyarism Kamal will be a formidable challen ge to DMK if only he can manage to usurp leadership of the AIADMK like Amma did at the right time in a different situation with similar challenges. She became DMK's nightmare.

    2. With his cinema background Kamal can vibrate in the frequencies of tough politicians who know only politicking. They always look for an opportunity to enrich themselves whatever be the problem. Kamal will easily understand their language and processes much better and can handle them well.

    3. If he sincerely wants to be a good CM and really wants to eradicate the menace of casteism and corruption, he can do that much better then others. The caste chieftains left to themselves would not be able to come to power and they kn ow that. They need a face-a familiar one that has caught the imagination of the people-to show. Kamal can provide that and assert power in course of time.

    Threats:

    1) Mu Ka and his chelas including the street corner orator Mr. Thee pori can still hit him with his brahmin tag. And there will be sections in the society that will accept it as genuine. Kamal will have to do some thing drastic to silence them at least for the next five years. He will have to think up some thing. He has to live with this recurring threat and handle it and neutralise it effectively.

    2) Kamal has to start addressing the Dalit vote bank effectively. He will need reassure them after his Thevar Makan and Virumaandi overtures to the middle castes/communities.

    3. He has already earned a few enemies in the BJP. The northern dispensation can effectively checkmate him in his efforts to rule Tamils. Kamal does not seem to have realised this.

    4. He does not have advisors who would stay in the back ground and yet give advice effectively and in time.

"Captain" Vijayakanth is a self made man, with a very active and supportive wife Smt Premalatha Alagarswami, who is the real force behind his success. His Political outfit DMDK was main opposition in the last Assembly. Captain did not collect money from his fans for elections.
There is no comparison between him and Kamal Hasan.

Both 'Super Star' Rajni Kanth and ‘Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’ have been frequently conveying their mind of entering into politics and this is mainly against issues like ‘Corruption’, transparency in Governance, drought and in favour of interlinking rivers, etc

To be a Hero in reel life is quite different from being a Hero in real. They can take on the villains at street corners in films, but it is very difficult in real life,

But both have very strong fans base and it is the fans who give confidence to these film stars…

Perhaps, Tamil Nadu general public may also be fed up with existing two Dravidian parties and seek for a change….

    Let us wait and see…

Tamil cinema actor Kamal Haasan has changed his tune now. Read the full story in the following weblink:

Now this man who claims to be an Atheist, started advising how the majority Hindus should behave and embrace minorities like big brother !
I doubt whether he will enter in Politics or start a political outfit !
These rumours of him starting a new political party are obviously a kite-flying exercise.

Kamal is dilly dallying and is meandering aimlessly!!

Caste factor may keep Kamal Haasan on tenterhooks

    Badri Seshadri | Updated: Nov 15, 2017, 09:53 IST

Kamal has to therefore choose his friends quickly, put together a manifesto that his friends approve and get into the election mode immediately. The longer he takes, the tougher it is going to be for him!!
