oona masyam and masyam

Dear all
My father expired on 30th Sep on Purattsi Sukla dasami (Vijaya Dasami day).
13 day karyams have been cmpletd.

27th Ooam has been marked by my primary vathiyar on 29th Oct Sunday. This is actually Navami day.
One of the vathyars who guided me n Amavasya tharpanam, inform that oonam can not be done on 30th day but only on 27th day (Thu Oct 26).

Pls confirm which is correct..

Masya is on 30th Oct? - please confirm.

sir, masyam on 30-10-2017 is correct. you have to do sodhakumbam 29-10-2017. oona masyam must be done before masyam day. so you have to do oonam on 28-10-2017. 27th oonam must be done on any one day 28th or 29th or 30th. day. is the rule. you should not do on tuesday, friday, saturday. you should not do on the birth star of the kartha; you should not do on prathamai, shashty, aekaadasi, chathurthy, navami, cathurthasi.

there is another rule if no day is available ( within this 3 days ) you must do on 30th day. is the rule. even though it is saturday. so you may do on saturday 28-10-2017. provided your birth star is not thiruonam.

Dear sir
Thanks for yr detailed response. 30th day is Sunday 29th Oct.
Current plan is oonam on 29th Oct and masyam on 30th Oct pl confirm if this is correct
Plus can sothakumbam be clubbed with masyam on the same day.
