People have to be alert! No point in finding fault with Vastu experts (?!) or astrologers!

In India, we can't sue even the doctors as easily as people of other countries do!

So, money makers are ...!!

Does the Consumer Protection Act apply to agencies that offer Vaastu consultation on a commercial basis? Mahadev Dudihal, an employee with a legal firm in Vijayapura in north Karnataka, believes that it does.

Anything that is commercial, can be ( or rather should be) challenged in a court of law. If some one has given a promised result by using his product and the consumer does not receive the desired result as promised that can be challenghed under the consumer protection laws. Here the Vastu expert has promised the consumer to ward off the evil effects by applying changes to his living atmosphere thus forcing him not only spending a huge amount of money in renovation of the house but also has charged a fee for the consultation. So there is a trade taken place and if the desired are not achieved, it is breach of trust and can be sued.
