Aadhaar for getting death certificate!

In my last visit to cremation ground in delhi for a relative in delhi, the authorities took the Aadhar number of the person cremating instead of the dead for issuing the death

certificate. It is done for cases of natural death mostly seniors at home due to natural causes.For this doctors certificate is not mandatory.
