When the Janma nakshtra is only for a few nazhigai say 5, whether we should celebrate the function previous day or the present day?
Secondly the nazhigai for day does it start at 12 midnight or 4 am or 6am. For e.g 5 nazhigai means upto 8 AM if i assume day starts at 6am.

Does it also mean I start the function before the end of the Nazhigai time in which the JanmaNakshatra falls?

A 24-hour full day is 60 Naazhigai. So one Naazhigai is equivalent to 24 minutes. In Tamil calendar a complete day starts with sunrise and ends with next day sunrise. You have to consult the panchang for the sunrise time of that day.

You celebrate the birthday in which that Nakshatra fall most of the day. (that is my personal explanation).

This doubt was clarified for the same member, in the following thread, in March this year!!
