[h=1]112 Feet Adi Yogi – Shiva Statue in Coimbatore – Adiyogi Statue at Isha Center in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu[/h]
A 112 feet Adi Yogi Face – Shiva Statue will be consecrated at the Isha Center in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Shivratri day –

February 24, 2017. Adiyogi is the first Guru who imparted the knowledge of Yoga for the welfare of all living beings.
Sadhguru refers to Adi Yogi as the source of all knowledge.

About the 112 feet Adiyogi from Isha Blog

Naturally, the question arises why we are creating such a large face of Adiyogi, and if it is just for aesthetics. If you look at the image of Adiyogi, definitely there is a geometric aesthetic to it. There is no aesthetic appeal without geometric perfection – in anything, for that matter. The face of Adiyogi is not just for aesthetics – it has a geometric significance.

The formless energy that we refer to as Shiva can manifest itself in many ways. This reflects in the many different forms in which Shiva is represented, such as Nataraja, a dancer; Vaideeshwara, a doctor; Dakshinamurti, a teacher; or Bhairava, a remover of fear. These are all manifestations of the same energy. In this culture, consecrations are done to serve specific requirements. Adiyogi is here to liberate you from disease, discomfort, and poverty – above all, from the very process of life and death. We will consecrate Adiyogi as Yogeshwar, a perfect yogi. Yogeshwar is essentially about liberation.

Violations denied

However, in a statement on its blog, the Isha Foundation dismissed the allegations and said vested interests were trying to sabotage the Mahashivaratri celebrations.

“We have obtained the approval of the necessary authorities, including the District Collector, Coimbatore, the Forest Department and BSNL,” the response said. “A structural stability certificate from a government certified engineer has also been obtained for the 112-ft Adiyogi statue. A ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the District Collector, Coimbatore for using wetlands for non-agricultural purposes has also been obtained. So the question of violation does not even arise.”

It added: “We would like to place on record that Isha Foundation carries out all its activities within the purview of the law.”

In Coimbatore all violations are done by Karunya University which is promoted by Christian preacher DGS Dhinakaran & Paul Dhinakaran...Thousands of acres of fertile land is taken from the villagers and they are doing Conversion on a massive scale...To cover this up, they are raising issues with Isha Foundation as they view it as a thorn in their plan

[h=1]An idea shouldn't be rejected only because it's ancient: PM on Yoga[/h]February 24, 2017 20:14

After unveiling the 112-feet-tall statue of 'Adiyogi' Lord Shiva in Coimbatore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Yoga brings inner peace, which the world wants now.

"India has given the gift of Yoga to the world, by practising Yoga a spirit of oneness is created," PM Modi said.

"Rejecting an idea just because its ancient can be potentially harmful. Today, whole world wants peace, not only from wars and conflicts but peace from stress, and for that we have Yoga," he said.

He also released a book on 'Adiyogi' on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

Money pouring in from outside India causes many of these religious groups to create issues.
Environmental concerns if any of people coming together in large numbers need to be addressed by proper means.
However letting foreign funded NGOs and that too without transparency of who is paying what needs to be investigated.

Rajiv Malhotra has really followed the money trail and made a compelling case in his books (including in his book titled 'Breaking India') the damages caused by outside money
