I like this image of the humble USB! It is now getting smaller with humongous capacity!!

Nice. However the problem with USB stick is that it is rather slow. An SSD of equivalent capacity would be much faster. Perhaps it can be used more for archival purposes.

External SSD are faster as they come with USB 3.0/4.0 connectors...But USB 3.0/4.0 pen drives are also available...So no major advantage
