sir, My father in law expired on 4.4.16 dwadesi thithi, avittam nakshathram, krishna paksham.

According to our calender the day pertaining to this falls on march 25th.I want to conduct the poojas in Gokarna North kanara as i reside in bangalore. The shastry there tells me that the year will not be compeleted on march 25th and hence it should be done in the next nakshathram after his english date.Is this correct?please clarify the exact date when his varshbdhigam is to be done.
