(As we know that onion, garlic , and other non-sattwika foods are restricted strictly), In addition to that
1. Do we need to stop eating bhOga padarthams like outside food, the foods that we used to buy with money like hotel foods, restaurants, basically the outside stuff because they are 99.9% prepared by non-vaishnavas with no proper Nishta and also they are not offered to Vishnu as nivedana...So as Kannan EmperumAn said in githa, that food becomes Asraya Dushtam?

2. After initiation, how to stop the bad thoughts that were there prior to initiation as some samskaaras from pre-initiation creep into post initiation. As sastras proclaim, even a single karma can lead to crores of rebirths, how would you avoid this....With astakshari with some thought process, we can clean day by day but is it a common problem for people who have their pre-samskaaras carried over post initiation ?

1. As far as possible avoid non-sAtvic food which can become a hindrance in your love and bhakti for God. The Rupam, gunam, rasam and Gandham of the food that a vaishnavite eat should be conducive to sAtvic thoughts. The origin is also important as food cooked by non-sAtvic people may induce non-sAtvic thoughts and action in thenmind of the person who take such food. So the answer in one sentence is this: As far as possible avoid taking non sAtvic food.

2. Seek the help of God with the chanting of Ashtakshari. It is usually prayed during the papatti for God's grace in the matter of proper uttara krityam also. Uttara krityam--our deeds after the saranAgati is done.

Please attend kalakshepam under the care of a good acharyan so that your doubts will get cleared fully.

Thanks @Vaagmi.. I will need to get a very suitable time to do that
