Women are their own enemies.

Why are these women scoring a self goal.

They should stand up and fight for their right to temple entry to sabarimala.

At least shut up and keep silent when others are fighting for their cause

They suffer from "the Stockholm syndrome". They say what they think their men will want them to say.

Does "Lord Ayyappan" exercise his powers only in Sabarimalai?
It is a belief, Sir!

Otherwise, these females need not make such a big fuss for not being allowed into this temple! :D
P.S: I would choose to sing a few songs in praise of Lord Ayyappan and stay put at home! :pray2: ... :couch2:

Mrs Raji Ram,
I request you as a woman, having wide knowledge/ experience & aware of customs of Kerala Namboodharies, give out your views as to whether Women can be allowed ? Main Objection is, according to me is this : women are not Men , in the sense, that women's Biological system is most Complicated ( Women cannot really feel as to what is going on in the total system of operation of the Body/ / cannot know , whether pregnant/ has tumor Etc ,until examined by a Doctor? Even if the fight succeds, it may create problems for proper implmentaion, Why to open the Pandora;s Box. Age old proven system by our Seers can be followed , as done by all other Religions. Let women accept age-old custom/ practice & Vedas/ Sastras/ Puranas are proof & our Hindu phylosophy is most Trust- worthy , deviating the same, that too in this last Kali Yuga which is 5500 yrs will give all negative thoughts to even learned men & women. Deterioration has
started in every aspect aspect of life & there are many more Rights for Women , which can be fought for ? Faith is the essence of our religion . Let u keep our Moral high by following the same & not by defying

A.Srinivasan ( Rishikesan )

The human body is not a complicated one...in fact its a very well organized one that functions in perfect harmony.

The hormonal orchestra is led by the Pituitary gland and all other endocrine organs function in an perfect symphony.

A woman is fully aware of her own body just as how a male is aware of everything that happens in his own body.

God did not design a human body to be dependent on a doctor for the rest of existence.

A woman can even feel when she is ovulating..she can even feel when she is menstruating ...she can feel when she is aroused..she can feel when she wants to seduce..she can even feel when she is pregnant..she can even feel when she is having a miscarriage....she surely feels when she is going into labour..she can even feel changes that are abnormal.

Same with males..they too can feel changes in the body.

Nature has given humans the ability to sense changes..this is essential for survival of species.

In fact the basic intuitive instinct is higher in a female cos she has to watch out for both herself and her children.

A mother who is at work can sense that her child in school could be unwell and it would be eventually true.

How does she know this?

Becos of a built in intuition which I can safely say most men lack.

There is nothing complicated about a woman's biological system..the only thing complicated is the Minds of Males who try to impose rules and regulations on entire existence without realizing when viewed from space the size of their brains are so insignificant.

I am no feminist..I do not believe in empowerment of any one sex over the other.

As a female I personally like to take a back seat regularly just to enjoy being pampered by Knights in Shining Armour.

So guys...do not try to make rules for woman if you want to be safe in this world.

Otherwise you would unleash a Tsunami that would make your eyes bleed that even WHISPER might not be able to absorb.

Dear Rishi Sir,

I am not a very orthodox person in the sense that I don't follow the rule of 'three days no entry into the

kitchen'. Men can never manage the house as good as women do and hence I never impose the above

rule in my sweet home. I have already written in forum that all my in-laws who follow this rule, send their
daughters to me, when they want to enjoy their freedom!! :couch2:

But, I would never allow the girls in my family to contaminate the temples or break the age old rules of any

temple. And, I have never lit the Swami lamp or done any poojA during those three days! :nono:

But ..... if I happen to visit any house, where a lady with periods is treated as an out caste, I used to take the

help of a medicine, to postpone those three days!!

My thinking is simplistic.

Women and men are alike and equal.

Their body structures may be different.

Their emotions are similar.

They laugh when happy and weep when hurt.

Rules made by a patriarchal order making them impure to worship needs to done away.

How can we not realise this simple fact?

Compromising on this and accepting a lower status and believing in impurity on certain days is succumbing to a male order.

How can anyone compromise on equality ?.To give logic that womens' body structure is complicated to deny entry to temples is not a reasonable argument.

When women themselves say that they accept this unequal arrangement on not going to temple on certain days , They are not helping their own cause.

You are spot on sir. The above statement is evidenced by all and need not be proved. It is because of this unique sensation of men that they are able to "feel" themselves and know if their bodily operations are right or whether they have a tumour, disease etc. Also, it is because of this "unique man factor" (UMF) that men never visit a doctor as they can self-diagnose. Their biological system is very simple and they can cure themselves. They also get self-educated by our sastras, vedas and puranas that are encoded in this UMF. Also, one additional benefit of UMF is that men never age and die. Just like how people retire from employment, men retire from life on this earth and go to a different planet. There is a chartered flight that operates exclusively for men for this purpose. Our entire hindu philosophy is based on men and their UMF.

So no one should defy it.

Cotamination or pollution is very high in Sabarimala not because of " No Whispers happy to Bleed' Women - No Entry for them! - It is because of sneezing men with leaking nose - Why no restriction for them?

My answers in blue...

Dear Krish Ji...I agree with what you wrote but for fun sake let me reply in a humorous manner!LOL

My thinking is simplistic.

Women and men are alike and equal.

No! We are your slaves..we are NOT equal..we are meant to serve males and nothing more.

Their body structures may be different.

Yes..very different..we have aesthetic value..without us there is no porn industry!

Their emotions are similar. They laugh when happy and weep when hurt.

No No...totally not similar. Singhams dont cry!LOL

Rules made by a patriarchal order making them impure to worship needs to done away.

You are wrong...we need the rules cos we lack grey matter and we are brain dead.

How can we not realize this simple fact?

Its we females who can not realize any fact....we lack the 50 shades of Grey matter!

Compromising on this and accepting a lower status and believing in impurity on certain days is succumbing to a male order.

We dont mind being pushed down even lower...we are meant to be stepped upon our heads like how Vamana stepped on Bali's head and sent him to Patala Loka.

How can anyone compromise on equality ?.To give logic that womens' body structure is complicated to deny entry to temples is not a reasonable argument.

Yes...our bodies are complicated..that is why men cant help discussing about it..especially bloody topics like menses it excites even the oldest most orthodox of males!

When women themselves say that they accept this unequal arrangement on not going to temple on certain days , They are not helping their own cause.

See I was right...we females are our own enemies cos we lack thinking capacity..Penn puthi Pin Puthi!

Dear Krish Sir,

You are most welcome to keep your modern ideas to your own family circle.

When some temples follow some rules, it is the duty of the bhakthAs (?!?) to obey it. :tape:

When there are umpteen temples all around the world, why disturb the rules of one particular temple?

BTW, there are dress codes in Kerala temples and people SHOULD follow it.

Females can't start visiting them clad in two piece swim suits!!

Dear Dr. Renuka,
I expected a reply for my writing from you & you have done it @ # 11. You have so clearly & in plain language explained as a Female Doctor of deep experience you have Cleared my queries. Thanks a lot. However thoughts linger on , feeling that educated & smart women could be categorized to fit in your reply. I always agree that even ordinary/ matured women easily read the inner minds of Men & that keeps them alert all the time. I also feel that many women may not be that much sensitive to know & feel/ realize the major changes , taking place in the body.
In the same breadth I ask you , whether women can be allowed for worship in Ayyappan Koil at Kerala ? If yes & if No provide reasons as an experienced Gynaecologist?
A.Srinivasan ( rishikesan )

Dear Rishi Sir,

The priests who perform the poojA in temples make the rules and NOT the gynecologists!! :D

One of my sisters-in-law, claiming to be orthodox, used to go to all saree shops during her periods and will justify

that new cloths won't be contaminated by her touch whereas the washed ones will be! How crazy is this idea!!

Also, there will be a new unwashed bed sheet and blanket in her house, to be used by all the females who have

their periods. Never ever will they be washed since they will loose 'madi'!! ;)

Dear Rishi Ji,

Firstly I am not a Gynecologist.

I am a General Practitioner...I see all cases that do not need a Specialist intervention..in fact majority of my patients are males...so I do handle even male related cases in case any of you guys need some advise!LOL

Ok back to topic...one does not need even formal education to sense changes in the body..I repeat...Nature has made a human being to be able to sense changes for self as its important for survival of species.

More so in the female species cos they have to protect children.

If you observe then animal kingdom especially elephants..the females esp the Alpha female has a major role to play in survival of their entire species.
In Africa when there is drought..its the Alpha female that relies on her memory to find the next water source for the entire herd and leads all the elephants...its her decision that ensure survival of species..she walks and leads for miles and miles to save her entire herd.

So never ever underestimate the natural instinct of females of any species.

A female has an unique ability to sense slightest changes in self and others..that is why they seem more emotional and sensitive than males.

But it always strange that a male feels he knows more about a woman's body than a woman herself!LOL

Even though I am doc....when dealing with my son and teenage tantrums and changes..I consult my husband who is an engineer about male changes in puberty cos I would only have text book knowledge on this but since I am not a male..I might not have full 1st hand knowledge about a male..hence I seek advise from husband too.

BUT I wonder how is a male so COCK sure they know all about females and make rules for her body without bothering to consult her.

This is sheer ignorance of males to assume they know it all when they might really know anything at all.

Coming to your question about females going to Sabarimalai...firstly the name Sabari itself is named after a female....yet a female is not allowed in.

Now coming to logic I know that in the past the Sabarimalai Ayyaipa temple was situated deep in a jungle and not accessible like how it is now.

Only Thirumeni Ishwaran Namboothiri and VR Gopala Menon were steadfast in their devotion of being in the temple despite the presence of wild animals.

Naturally women of the reproductive age were not allowed cos the trek up to the temple would take many days and if one menstruates or is pregnant there is a risk for complications cos of lack of facilities.

BUT now since conditions have improved I do not see any reason why a female cant enter the temple. This is where some of us humans lack grey matter and do not move with times and make every rule into a superstition and dare not see logic cos they fear some unknown bad luck falling on them..so much for talk about faith in God!LOL

BTW a female knows her bodily functions..even if one has irregular cycles she can always wear a sanitary pad just in case of some unexpected event.

On a personal note..if any temple forbids my entry on whatever grounds..I wont really bother to fight cos my understanding is God is everywhere..inside..outside..everywhere..everything is in Brahman..everything IS Brahman.

So when God does not reject anyone...why bother about small minds that reject people based on gender or any other specification?

Priest or the running President make the rule because they are uncomfortable when questioned by women ! and hence these comments leading on to those rules!

Donald Trump's comment that Fox's Megyn Kelly was "bleeding out of her wherever" proves why we need to tallk about periods and do away with the stigma and silence.

https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&r...biM0Qqd4CZW4DnoDg&sig2=PIzSH06V0E022_QerDwCIw

Tantris are not Mantris to make these rules !

Prayar Gopalakrishnan, the Sabarimala temple chief who had remarked that women will be allowed to enter the temple with the invention of machines to check the purity of women, triggered nationwide debates on the notion of menstruating women being impure and the viral campaign of #happytobleed which was followed by a letter written by a young college student Nikita Azadto Prayar Gopalakrishnan. The perpetuation of such discrimination on the basis of women’s natural biological process of menstruation goes against the fundamental rights, against freedom from discrimination which is guaranteed by the constitution. It can also be viewed as a restriction on access to public spaces such as the public roads from Pampa to Sannidhanam (Ayyappa temple) which is also against fundamental rights guaranteed to citizens of India irrespective of caste, creed and gender.
