Namassadhasae.

There is a temple in West Mambalam Chennai, for Sathyanarayana. The
following are the details of the temple :

Worshipping any deity on Pournami ( full moon ) is auspicious but if one worships Lord Sathyanarayana who is identified with Pournami on that day , it is believed that the Lord will bless us with the bountiful health and wealth.

Lord Sathyanaraya who is one of the divine forms of Mahavishnu is consecrated in a separate temple in West Mambalam in Chennai. The temple is the only one of its kind in Tamil Nadu.

Genesis
The devout Seshadhri Bhattachariar and Ratan Das constructed a temple for Anjaneya under a Banyan tree in West Mambalam. After some years Ratan Das handed over the affairs of the temple to Seshadhri and relinquished his authority over the temple. As years rolled by, another devout group called Sudarshana Sath sangam consecrated Mahalakshmi and Sathyanarayana perumal at the spot where the temple now exists and Samprokashanam was performed to the temple.

Deities in the temple
There are separate shrines for the Lord and Mahalaskhmi with a beautiful canopy. Lakshmi Narasimhar, Lakshmi Hayagreevar, Andal , Ramar, Garudan Anjaneyar, Thumbikai Azhwar also form a part of the divine set up.

During Pournami special abishekam is performed to the presiding deity and Sathyanarayana puranam is narrated by a spiritual raconteur. The deity is then taken on a procession in the evening.

The Temple is located in West Mambalam near Ayodhya mantapm.

Thiruindhalur - Mayuram's another name - Divya desam

Namassadhasae.

Mayiladuthurai is a busy commercial town in Central Tamil Nadu and one of the 108 Divya Desams in Vaishnavite tradition. Also called Thiru indhalur there is a temple dedicated to Parimala Ranganthar in this town.

Chandran ( moon) is inextricably intertwined with the spiritual history of the temple. It is believed that Chandran did penance here and was redeemed of his curse. Chandran is also called Indhu, thus as desired by him this place is called Thiru indhalur.

Presiding deity - Parimala Ranganathar , Suganthavanathar with four hands in a reclined posture on Adi Sesha.
Thayar - Parimala Ranganayaki , Chandra Sapha Vimochanavalli
Holy waters - Chandra pushkarini.
Vimanam -Veda Chakra.

Many of us may not know that this place is also called Suganthavana. The place has assumed the name of the deity- Suganthavanam. The deity is referred to as Suganthavanar in holy texts and is called Parimala Rangan in chaste tamil. Ganga and Cauvery mata adorn his feet and head respectively.

People flock to thi place during the tamil month of Aiypasi to have a holy dip at the confluence of Cauvery and the sea -Bay of Bengal.

The temple is a treasure trove of sculptures. One of the mystic poets -Azhwars -Thirumangai Azhwar has eloquently sung in praise of the Lord.
