Dear Sirs

I live in chennai and I am keen to do nadhi snanam and pitru tharpanam and dhanam on this Thai Amavasai day. Can someone guide me as to any nearby holy river near to Chennai where I will be able to perform this in a peaceful and satisfactory way. I would suppose there will be brahmanas or sanyasis whom we can worship at that place.
