மயிலாப்பூர் கபாலீஸ்வரர் கோவிலில் regularஆக பிச்சையெடுக்கும் பிராமணர்...!
The above photo was posted by a brahmin lady in Face book and there were a lot of comments and opinon about this. What the members of this forum
think about this? Let us know our views also why brahmins have come to this state of begging in public.Without any reservation I am posting this and sure Mr Praveen will
not block this post.

The picture is not very clear..Is his hand amputated..May be he is not able to do any work & has resorted to begging...Someone nearby can check his actual issue?

Is he having an intellectual challenge otherwise! I think if he able bodied & in his senses he has no right to beg! Let us not encourage him!

He looks emaciated.

He perhaps does not have linkages in brahmin community who can use his services.

Such people are tied to vadhyars who can take him along for religeous functions for brahmanartham with food and dakshina.

He might be waiting in a temple for such calls.

If someone can give me his address and location, I will convert him into an useful resource.

Such people are needed and it is difficult to get them

hi

i think...chandru sir of this forum regularly visiting kapaleeswarar kovil and residing in mylapore...

I am pained to see such people waiting for alms Brahmins or otherwise - Right to food is the demand of the day echoing தனி ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு உணவில்லை எனில் ஜகத்தினை அழித்திடுவோம்!1

But Bhikshandehi is Braahmins culture glorified on the day of Upanayanam! and யாசகம் by Brahmins is expected to be carried through his life! The daily Unchavridhi by saint Thiagraja is religiously enacted every year in Tiruvaiyaru! You need a poor brahmin to recive தானம் anyway! which is credited to your புண்யம் A/C as ordained by our spiritual thinking! Even Vishnu took the Brahmin route of யாசகம் to vanquish Mahabali and Karna!

hi

i heard that even Lord Shiva asked bhiksha from Maata Annapuneswari in Kasi.....

Sir,

One form of Lord Shiva is known as Bhikshatana.....

Mr Krish why do you want to know his address when you can very easily locate him in any prakarams of Kapaleeswarar temple. When you are interested to help him please take some trouble.

I think the comments track is moving out from main subject. Why Bhikshandavar or Vishnu are to be compared with this poor brahmin ?

DearPSNji
I stay in delhi not chennai.

To reach out there should be some means.

Hence, my suggestion.
regards

Bhavathi Bikshamdehi !!! We are taught this when the Upanayanam ceremony takes place. Brahmins are supposed to eat only what is given as Bikshai. So what is wrong in the particular Brahmin begging?

Do the community feel degraded because of this?

Does this mean that we, brahmins can accept bhikshai from anybody from any religion ?

சோத்தில் கை வைக்கும் Brahmanan சேத்தில் கால் வைப்பதில்லை . We consume buying their agricultural produce - Bhikshandehi gets them free! Good economics!

In this world, everything is proportionate, not equal. Just shouting on the rooftop about secularism, socialism or communism is not everything. Assuming a CEO is to part with same emoluments with his lower rung staff and driver, cook etc, what would happen ?. One can not equate everyone and everything on par. World will remain unequal and un-proportional to one's proportionate capacity.

hi Nacchi sir,

welcome back...i think that you regained your health back.....nice to see u again...

Affluent Brahmins invite all to the religious functions at their home and accept gifts from anybody; It appears it has social

sanctions from the community; why not this poor Brahman get something not to amaze wealth but for a square meal a day?

Certainly not.

He is not involved in any criminal activity like stealing or pick -pocketing to earn his bread.

Then what is ஏற்பது இகழ்ச்சி ................?

Strictly speaking begging in public places is an unlawful activity and a punishable offence too according to Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Begging Act of 1945.

That may be the reason why beggars give the cuts( mamool) to local rowdies/police!
