Please read yesterday's article by Vijay Lokapally in The Hindu titled 'Poor pitches produce poor cricketers.'

Test matches in India are generally being played on under prepared pitches, specifically to suit spinners.

Whenever Indian team tours abroad, especially England, Australia and South Africa, the team finds it difficult to perform well.

The need of the hour is preparing sporting wickets. Will the specialists do?

This is a common practice by all cricket playing host nations ..Why should India miss the bus by not adopting it...In the current circumstances Ashwin has come on top with flying colors..Hats off to him...He is an all rounder..One day he will become the Captain for sure!!

In the ICC ranking for Test Bowlers Ashwin has already climbed 3 notches and is now at No 2 position...Great going Ashwin!
