here the discussions are about universal principles that is applicable to all human beings.

The Upanishads are actually wisdom scriptures for the entire humanity. That is why there are many vedantic scholars from all continents today because they can understand without all the background of religious edicts of Hinduism.

This thread itself was an attempt to initiate scholarly discussions. Some aspects like literal meanings of verses without full context are more apt in General Section or Chit-Chat sections.

    ...
If there is a need to discuss any personal opinions it is possible to open a thread about specific parts in the General section.
I think the thread does not violate the rules set by the forum - the reference has come from you and the scholarly debate from the rest... :-)

No forum rules are violated obviously. Actually there are very few rules and even fewer guidelines (such as the one for this section).

Let me quote Stephen Covey from his writing, in this context:

The French sociologist Émile Durkheim put it this way: “When mores [cultural values] are sufficient, laws are unnecessary; when mores are insufficient, laws are unenforceable.” In a low-trust culture, it’s literally impossible to put enough rules and policies into place to control people’s every action. In a low-trust relationship, the legal agreement can’t be long enough to cover every possibility."
Let us strive to follow the guidelines both written and unwritten for each section so that the forum is well served without need for any rules or enforcement.
