Time is a great river that flows
Unperturbed by the highs and lows
Originating at the very source
In which all the Universe floats.....
Fourteen billion years ago
In the early universal epochs
In fraction of seconds 'a year' beckons
As Universe evolves in nano-seconds...
'A year' took several seconds to do the same
When quarks, leptons and photons came
When nucleus of atoms evolve
'A Year' took several minutes to revolve....
For the initial elements to take shape
'A year' happened in matter of days
Compounds of life took millions of year
And that’s when we are all here..
365 days may be measure of earth’s deed
As a cycle around the sun it completes
On how long Earth could last indeed..
But how can that be a ‘year’ for you and me..?
The measure of a ‘year’ of human life
Depends on what we take to evolve ourself..
May be days, months or decades too
Let 'a year' for us depend on what we do..
As the year 2014 bids adieu
Let every moment bring a year to you
I wish 2015 new years accrue..
Let us all scale heights anew..
