Terrorism in India is Pakistan-sponsored, home minister Rajnath Singh said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in Delhi on Saturday.Singh’s tough talk included a direct question — “Is ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) also a non-state actor?”
Pakistan’s fished out the “non-state actor” line following the 2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai. India’s stated position is the ISI played an active role in the attack. Singh hit out at Pakistan over harbouring underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, whom he described as the “most-wanted criminal”. “Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan. We have asked the government there to hand him over. But they are evading it.”
