National Anthem

National anthem brings to my mind a funny incident.

In 1994, we had just settled down in Coimbatore.

My husband's namesake and classmate had just returned

from USA and settled down here with his wife and two daughters.

He boasted of his ability to play his violin and wanted to play duet

on Veena (by me) and Violin (by him) famous carnatic music songs!

I naturally expected a high standard of performance.

One evening he came to my house with his violin.

It was power cut time and so I opted

not to play in a candle light concert.

He played on and I HAD to stand up :violin:

and pay may respects.

Yes you gussed it right!!! :thumb:

He played the Jana gana mana which
