World's Tallest Statue of Lord Shiva in the World
[h=2]KAILASHNATH MAHADEV.......[/h] [h=2]Located in Saanga, the border of Bhaktapur and Kavre districts, kathmandu, Nepal,Kailashnath Mahadev, 108 ft tall statue of Lord Shiva from the sacred holy no. 108 of Hindu is the tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. The combined height along with the base is about 143ft (43.5m). About half and hour from Kathmandu, it boasts amazing views of the city and the mountains and lush green Bhaktapur fields. It has been constructed with donation (which amounts to more than Rs. 11 crores) from Indian businessman Kamal Jain , proprietor of Hill take water tanks.According to Jain,it took him almost six years to build it. It is spread in 400,000sq. ft area and houses a 16 deluxe room resort, spa, yoga, health club and meditation centre. There is also a children's park and other recreational features......[/h]
