Dear friends,

The teachings of MahAperiyavA have eternal value and there are many links available with Bala Sir.

Many of MahAperiyavA's followers have shared the thrilling experiences they had with him, in their blogs.

I shall start with a few of them posted in random threads and would like Bala Sir to continue further.

Regards,
Raji Ram :)

TEN COMMANDMENTS OF MAHA PERIYAVA...
1. One of our duties as human beings is to avail ourselves of every opportunity to do good to others. The poor can serve others by their loyal work to the country and the rich by their wealth to help the poor. Those who are influential can use their influence to better the condition of the lowly. That way we can keep alive in our hearts a sense of social service.
2. Man by himself cannot create even a blade of grass. We will be guilty of gross ingratitude if we do not offer first to God what we eat or wear – only the best and choicest should be offered to Him.
3. Life without love is a waste. Everyone should cultivate “Prema” or love towards all human beings, bird and beast.
4. Wealth amassed by a person whose heart is closed to charity, is generally dissipated by the inheritors: but the family of philanthropists will always be blessed with happiness.
5. A person who has done a meritorious deed will lose the resulting merit if he listens to the praise of others or himself boasts of his deeds.
6. It will do no good to grieve over what has happened. If we learn to discriminate between good and evil, that will guard us from falling into the evil again.
7. We should utilize to good purpose, the days of our life-time. We should engage ourselves in acts, which will contribute to the welfare of others rather than to our selfish desires.
8. We should perform duties that have been prescribed for our daily life and also be filled with devotion to God.
9. One attains one’s goal by performance of one’s duties.
10. Jnana is the only solvent of our troubles and sufferings.

Even if read so many times this worth reading once again.

cheers,

Here is a piece of interesting information from Kanchi Maha Periyava. You may like it.

...............

Balasubramanian
Ambattur

I am glad that you picked up and acted on my suggestion elsewhere.
Dear Naina Sir,

Many of us have been suggesting. But somehow Bala Sir is not keen in starting a new thread, though he received the

step by step instructions! He will surely contribute all the valuable information he has about MahAperiyavA in this thread.
Let us await his new posts! :ranger:

Regards.........

This is the spark to start this thread.

I will go one step further and say that it is injustice and disservice to MahAperiyavA to bury his teachings

in an ordinary mundane thread like this. His teachings are not an “Occasional Piece of Interesting Information”,

but rather have perennial and everlasting value.

Wouldn't it be nice to post them in a fresh thread on its own and call it MahAperiyavAl's upadesams, teachings and messages?

Thanks to Naina Sir. :yo:

Dear RR maam,

i am in the midst if reading a wonderful book on "Mahaperiyava" written by one Mr.P.Swaminathan and published by Kamadhenu publications Ltd Chennai. This book contains so many incidents that has een shared by readers and others, has great photographs of Mahaswami not seen till date. Though Mahaperiyava never acknowledged any miracles as done by him and simply brushed them off as imagination of the person, the book highlights all such incidents which saved so many lives, or where he lighted peace and harmony in manya households..
Really wonderful book. Suggest all to get one and read.

cheers.

Am I right if it said or called that Mahaperiyavas teachings and messages are in other words "kaliyuga Bagavat Gita".

Maharajapuram Sri. Santhanam was an ardent devotee of Sri Kanchi Maamuni.

He has composed a melodious thillAnA praising him. These are the lyrics in CharaNam:

Here is the ThillAnA:
