may be that is why we had plenty of poruvilanga urundai made of protein for children with jaggery, which they have to slowly sink their teeth into and not easily coming away, and of course our murukku and cheedai and many other items made with rice and uradh dhall instead of chana as it bloats and tends to take time to digest for elders....
