My question is this :

How do we view Dinakaran having sections on Astrology, Predictions or carrying supplements on temples etc....

Is this to be dismissed as hypocrisy or is it being savvy in serving the customers with what sells irrespective of what the party's views about atheism are ?

Does this conform with principles of journalism or ahem...ahem.. is THIS shining example of "pathrikkai dharmam" ?

It is nothing new. It is all simply EVRs "Pahutharivu". If you dont believe consider the following

1. Wearing a Yellow shawl
2. Dayalu ammal falling at Saibaba's feet
3. All the womenfolk of the family sporting Kunkumam and going to temples
4. MK Alagiri's daughter getting married at Samayapuram temple
5. Naming the first magazine started by the family as "Kunkumam" and having a brahmin "Chavi" as its Editor
6. Having Dr.Ramamurthy a brahmin as his physician

The list goes on and on. All the pahutharivu, moodanambikkai BS is for the consumption of the masses. When it comes to personal life or family business all these so called Kolkaigal are conveniently forgotten.
