My Vitamin F

"My Vitamin F"

A friend shared this article with me and I want to share it with you.
Why do I have a variety of friends who are all different in character ?

Some of them can be considered marginal even ?
How do I get on with them all?
I think that each one helps to bring out a "different" part of me.
With one of them I am a polite, good girl.
I joke with another friend.
I sit down and talk about serious matters with one of them.
With another I giggle at every silly thing.
I have my wine with one
And dance with another.
I listen to one friend's problems and give her advice.
Then I listen to another advising me.
They are all like pieces of a jigsaw.
When completed they form a treasure box.
A treasure of friends!

They are my friends who understand me better than myself, who support
me through good days and bad days.

They are like colorful anti-depressants that I take on different days.
Real Age doctors tell us that friends are good for our health.

Dr. Oz calls them Vitamins F (from Friends) and counts the benefits of
friends to our well being.

Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of
depression and terminal strokes
.
If you take Vitamin F constantly you can be up to 30 years younger
than your real age.

The warmth of friendship stops stress and even in your tense moments,
it decreases the chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50 %.
I am so happy that I have a stock of Vitamins F!
In summary we should value our friends and keep in touch with them.
We should try to see the funny side of things and laugh together, not
forgetting to open our mouths big to swallow the floating vitamins
F!!!!
Thank you for being one of my vitamins!

Dear Anandi,

Nice post. Now a days, vitamin M seems to be the most wanted stuff!!

We need to remember about vitamin F which is very essential to lead

a happy life.

Quoting from one of my write ups which is relevant here!

வெற்றி நமதே!

அன்பு கொண்டால், சுற்றம் பெருகும்;

சுற்றம் பெருகினால், வலிமை பெருகும்;

வலிமை பெருகினால், பகை அஞ்சும்;

பகை அஞ்சினால், வெற்றி நமதே! :thumb:

Best wishes,
Raji Ram

Dear Raji Madam,
Wah!!! kya baat hai??? Fantastic. I can read and speak Tamil but very poor writing skills. because as I am from Kerala, Malayalam was my language. You are a gem.... Even I know Malayalam, I can't write like this.. with Prasams... I like to write scripts to our School Annual Day Programs and story kinds... have written few malayalam stories way back. It had come in the Malayalam Magazines too. then I stopped writing. "No time" is a silly excuse I know. if there is a will, there is a way too. right??? What to do?? I was in too many things at one time. so just stopped writing stories. But when I read your lines... felt soo happy.... If you want to achieve something, you have to put that "extra something" on your work... then you can excel in every field. Accept my respects... Thanks and with lots of love
Anandi

Dear Anandi,

Thanks for your compliments. I was not aware of my writing abilities till 2003, when we visited the US for the first

time. Since I had a lot of free time and was fascinated by the different culture here, I wrote a few short poems. ( In

Chennai I teach carnatic music at home and will not have much time to spare!) My family and friends gave good

comments and hence I started writing more! My dear brother gave me a nick name - நக்கீரி! க்கீரன் was a

great Tamil poet. :high5:
You can find my first set of poems in the thread ஓ அமெரிக்கா, in literature section of this forum. :ranger:

Best wishes,
Raji Ram

Yes Madam, I read your poems... all are very good. Your language amazes me. I like to read it slowly and little loudly.. When I read Tamil, it touches the heart so deeply. Thank you so much for your posts. love -Anandi
