In rishi ramayana, at once situation, when rama and lakshmana went to gather the food for preparation of pinda, sita herself with the fruits of Ingudhi and Tharpisam (I dont know what they are) provided pinda for dasaratha in their absence. For that she takes evidences such as sacred cow, agni, and palgu river. But, when rama returned and asked them, they hided the truth. Hence, sita cursed cow that the lakshmi will be left from her face and reside in her back. Agni will loose his power to distinguish things and will eat all sort of things. Palgu will become an antharvagini (It will become invisible and the flow is only under the earth).

Then dasaratha with Aja maharaja appeared infront of rama and lakshmana and said them that they already had sufficient food from sita (PINDA).

My question is "Can the daughter-in-law holds the rights of providing pinda to her in-laws?" what sastras are saying about this???

Pranams

I do not know much about sastra says in this case. But I find the answer is hidden in your message itself. What other proof is required when Dasaratha himself has accepted that from Seetha!!!

Our Epics had this kind of goodness. They alwways had some caue-effect relation to justify anything.

There were all kinds of questioning and cross questioning by the characters themselves or presntation by Guru-shishya as a vaada -prativaada, tharka etc.

That is why we have Panchaali for five men

We have Rama killing Vali indirectly

Krishna allowing untruth about Ashwathama and many many

we have many shaapams and shaapa moksha.

The original writers/ subsequent interpreters could anticipate all kinds of questions on the context and topic from the future generations.

Taking pride on reflected glory we still go on conducting pattimandrams.

DeAR DURGASDASANJI
This is not only sastram this is a sampradayam. In north arcot dist. the daughter-in0law onlly got the right of providing pindam
but most of other dist. the daughter only providing the pindam. Therfore this came as sampradayam

Shri Sundarji

This is a new info. Anyhow if the person doesnt have daughters, certainly the DIL has to do that. Now once again the question is not providing pindam (Whether providing pindam without the help of a man is allowed)...

Pranams

Respected Sundarji

Whether females themselves has the rights to finish the whole srartha without the help of males. Hope it is clear now. Because, rama and lakshmana went out to get bhiksha for the thithi. In the meantime, since it was getting late, seetha devi herself prepared and provided the pinda to dasaratha with Ingudhi and darpisam fruits.

Dear durgadasanji
In satya yuga, dwaper and treta yuga the ladies also chant the veda and done the ritual karmas. But in kaliyuga the Mannu restrited to do so. As a Dhrama sastra bharya bhartu parasparam , means the first right to them only . the son will represent them, therefore the son will ask to father or mother who alive to start the karyam. But today some person telling thagt they also gaot the right to do
namaskaram
