So ,what did the east india company find when they came to our country ?

This had been chronicled and detailed painstakingly by Shri Dharampal ...
Dharampal (1922-2006) was a historian par excellence. His books are based on the official documents of East India Company (EIC) before it had captured India entirely. In his books, Dharampal reveals the India that the British found in their early days. Citing the EIC's official documents and correspondence, he busts many myths that were later engineered by the British about Hindu society to hoodwink the Indians. His most famous book is "The Beautiful Tree" which is about the indigenous Indian education system in the 18th century that the EIC officers describe in detail. So what did the officers of the "John Company" find when they first arrived in Madras? What kind of schools India had? Who studied in them? Actually, you can read most of Dharampal's books online at the website www.samanvaya.com/dharampal/ Simply click on "Published Works" and download the books.
