Vertu is a manufacturer that makes premium phones. And no, it is not another run -of-the-mill manufacturer slapping on the “Premium” moniker and calling it a day. Made out of exotic metals like Titanium and having screens made of Sapphire Glass, against which your Gorilla Glass looks fragile: Vertu’s phones are definitely Premium.

But while on the outside, Vertu phones are premium, on the inside they usually have outdated specifications and having an equally outdated version of Android for good measure. This is the stark opposite from the realm of “Normal Phones”, which usually have trailblazing specifications, but have lacklustre design (We are looking at you, Galaxy S5).

The Vertu Signature Touch has been announced and while it has the classic Vertu premium too it, what’s special is the inclusion of flagship specifications: 2.3Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon Processor, a Full-HD 4.7 inch screen – This is certainly better than other luxury phones stuck in the era of Dual-Core processors and WVGA screens.

It’s frame is made out of Grade 5 Titanium (Extremely, Extremely durable), with a hand-finished Calf Leather (Available in Many Colors)
As mentioned above, it has a Snapdragon Quad-Core processor, so it will take in and spit out anything you throw at it. The screen, at 4.7 inches with a 1080p resolution, is pin sharp. And to protect that beautiful display, Vertu has outfitted it with Sapphire Glass which is much stronger (And equally more expensive) than the Gorilla Glass 2 screens you find in today’s smartphones. You would be hard-pressed to scratch it.

It has 64GB of Internal Memory. It runs the latest Android: Android 4.4 Kitkat. That’s not all though. the software has been customized to give it a premium look and also access to premium services. For example, you have access to a 24×7 Concierge Service, to cater to your every need. You also get perks like WiFi access, wait for it, across the globe.

The camera is 13MP, coupled with a Hasselbald-certified Camera Lens and Dual-LED Flash, which is fitting for a premium phone. The front-camera, is fairly standard fare: A 2.1MP Front Camera.

The audio too is high end, with the audio being tamed by heavyweights like Bang & Olufsen. Dolby Digital Surround Plus has been thrown in for good measure.

To power it all is a 2275mAh battery (With support for Wireless Charging, goodie!). The final Premium touch? You will find the Signature of the person who made your phone on the inside of the SIM door. Pretty neat right?

If you are drooling with excitement and are collecting up every spare dollar you have, don’t as thing comes at a premium. Vertu hasn’t released the official price tag, but it has revealed that it will be around £6750.
