manja kani sothu

What is "manjakani sothu?" As far as I know this the property acquired by a woman from her parents house. My question is does the woman's son has a share on it or will it go to her daughter only?

Sundar

the word Manja Kanni sothu is dereived from theword that inorder to see Manja thread in her neck the girs ha to bring somesrtridhan. Thisis called Manja Kani sothu. Manjal beanse vermilon. Kani means to see. Hence tghe word ordiginalyit was called Majal Kanum sothu. laaer abnriviated to Maja Kani sothu.

The stree dhanis not dowry it is absolute property of the women. and its distribtuion on the demise of the lady is covered bythe Indian succession act.
